AVOX II (Chapter 3)

"I'm so sorry Lou... I never knew everything would end up like this!! Never knew that President Snow would turned you into an Avox. I thought he'd-" Finnick stopped talking.

Wait... Does he knows something?

Finnick put his head down.
"It is all my fault..." He says.

"I...I made a deal with President Snow. He would keep you alive, only if I would agree for selling my body. Lou I-- I never thought he would turn you into an Avox" He breathes.

I stood in amazement.

Finnick... would do anything to keep me alive? Even to sell his body?

I hug him again and cry. I know I could not say thanks, but I tried to.

Finnick hugs back and say, "I'm glad you're alive" I wipe my tears.

After all, he still cares about me.

"Come, Annie's speech would be in a minute" He took my hand and led me outside. Outside, everyone's been cheering for her. Welcoming her.

"The 73rd winner of the Hunger Games... Annalise Cresta!!" Caesar cheered. Annie suddenly step forward from behind the stage. I clapped too.

"I... Thank you" She firstly says.
"The Games was probably one of an experience I would never forget in my whole life. The Games is full of nightmares. I had to kill innocent people, and those I love." She wiped her left eye.

"The Games were full of sacrifices. Love. Friendship. I had to kill people I love too. I had to let them go."
"I wanna give a huge credit to my sister who died in the Arena for me." She continued.

"Without her, I won't be here. Without her, I won't probably live. Without her, I won't be me."

I could not stand seeing her like that. So I began to let out the tears I tried to hold back. Finnick whispers to me,

"Its okay.." He rubbed my back.

"My sister sacrificed herself just so I could win. I hope..." Annie broke into a cry. Some of people in the crowds cry too.
"I hope she is watching me from up there and smiles. I hope she is safe. I hope she is okay. I hope she is not alone. I hope she is in a better place now" She sobbed.

"So thank you, Louis... You will always be remembered to me, to Finnick, to Trev, to everyone. You will always be loved. Sincerely, your beloved sister, Annalise Cresta."

Annie left the stage in tears. I grab Finnick's hand and make a face as if it's saying "We should tell her". But he shook his head .

"No. She couldn't know that you're alive. President Snow will found out. And he won't be happy for sure." So I nod my head, and followed him back to his room.

"Louis..." he said. "Once again i'm so glad to know that you're alive." He smiled big, his dimples show. I smiled back too. Again, Finnick pull me into a deep hug and smiles-- Until the door opens.

"Finnick?!"

It is Annie.
