Levi's pov:
Mmmmm I smell...coffee. I pick my head up from my desk, rubbing the sleep from my eyes I see my partner Hanji looking down at me holding a cup of coffee. "Thanks" I say reaching out my hand. She hands me my coffee taking a sip of her own.
"Did you sleep here again?" She asked. "Yeah, I was looking at my bro-..... the Ackerman murder case." I said looking down.
3 years ago my brother Thomas Ackerman was killed.... more like assassinated. He was a popular senator, he was even thinking of running for president. But even though he was loved by many, he had many powerful rivals and enemies who didn't agree with him. I have to find out who killed him.....I have to.
My train of thought was interrupted by my boss Erwin calling us into his office.
Hanji quickly sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk while I leaned against the back wall of his office. "I have an assignment for you two" he boomed. Handing us each a file. "It's an undercover mission, so you know what that means" he laughed. "Tsk, great" I muttered. "Yayyyyy" Hanji cheered. "That means I'm in charge" she laughed.
"Whatever four eyes" I said leaving the room. "Hey Levi!! You leave tomorrow!! Also you can have the rest of the day off" Erwin yelled. I turned around now walking backward sending him a sarcastic thumbs up, he just laughed and shook his head.
To be honest, I was kinda mad. Not that I have to go undercover for a couple months!! No what really pisses me off is that everytime we go on a undercover mission he puts Hanji in charge. Just because she's more 'social' and a 'people person' and she doesn't 'offend people' by refusing to touch them.
Time skip 8:30ish - 4:00pm
Levi's pov:
I wake up sprawled out on my bed fully dressed. I must of crashed as soon as I got home. I sat up and put my head on my hands rubbing my eyes. "Ugh, I need a shower" I groaned getting up and walking to the bathroom.
As I turned the shower and started to get undressed I heard my phone buzz. It was a text from Hanji.
Message from: Shitty glasses-
Hey Levi! just wanted to say we leave at 8:00 tomorrow morning so be ready! I'll pick you up. Haven't been to that side of Trost in a while. Also we'll be staying at the Sina hotel the first night! Maybe we'll get lucky and meet a gang member!!

Time skip after Levi's shower
Hmm I should probably go out to eat tonight. I don't have any food anyways and if I went out and bought some the leftovers would just go to waste.
I grabbed my keys and went to my favorite Italian restaurant a couple of blockes away.
Yet another time skip- after dinner
When I got back to my apartment it was around 6:45. I had just enough time to pack and go over the case file. Probably should have done that sooner though.
When I was all packed I sat down at my desk and opened the file.
