To start, there was the Abyss and the Abyss was kept at bay by the Sun. the Sun was light and the Sun was warmth, yet there was nothing but the dark and the Sun. The Sun heaved and henceforth was produced Theotia and her moon. The Sun cast his divine light upon Theotia and life sprung from her. However, Theotia was far from the Sun and the people were not able to reach the heavenly orb, so the Sun gave Theotia fire. The fire was part of the Sun bestowed upon Theotia and is revered as the Sun itself, such is its sacredness.
The Burnt Priests would follow the fire and gaze long and deep into the flame to know the will of the Sun. Such was the genesis of the Domosignis. But for fire to be sacred, what of water, for water nurtures life and is the death of fire, just as fire is the death of life. What does this mean of the will of the Sun? Centuries after the Domosignis enlightened the great dynasty of Myfas, this question heralded the Age of Embers, an age of fear, of doubt and uncertainty, as the Burnt Priests questioned the will of the Sun. The Domosignis almost came to an end, fractured into a thousand sects, all with their own interpretation of the will of the Sun.
In this Age of Embers, amongst the dying of fires, of faith, came the Nightless Day. upon this day, a child chosen by fire was born and the child was the Sun-upon-Theotia. The child led the Burnt Priests across the world to a promised land, ruled over by a mountain where water and fire were made one. Upon the zenith of this mountain, the Sun-upon-Theotia preached the will of the Sun and the Truth. The Sun-upon-Theotia taught of hope, compassion and understanding. Satisfied that her task was fulfilled, the Sun-upon-Theotia returned to her mother in the Abyss by immolating herself in the flaming mountain. The Burnt Priests journeyed home to Myfas with her teachings.
Yet as time passed, the teachings were corrupted and the faith split once again. It is prophesied that in the darkest of nights that have befallen the world as of late, the Sun will rise again bringing the light of day. The Sun-upon-Theotia herself laid down the Catalyst of the Sun's Will before her apotheosis. Whoever wields it will be able to purge blackest darkness with the Sun's most divine light.
