We got to the hospital. We got out of the car and walked inside. I held Faith in my arms. I walked to the desk.

"Hi I am looking for Candace Cotton." I told the woman at the desk.

"She's in surgery but the rest of her family is in the waiting room." I nodded and we walked over there. The guys and Justin and Justice were sitting in the chairs.

"What happened?" I asked.

"She went outside to get the mail and she was shot." Terell told me. I shed a tear and sat down. Briona took Faith from me. I started crying. Someone sat next to me and pulled me into them. I recognized the scent as Demarco. I snuggled into him. I cried on his shirt. I can't lose my mom. Justin and Justice still need her.

"It's gonna be okay baby. She's a fighter." Destyni told me rubbing my back. I sniffled and Demarco rubbed my back. This can not be happening.

"Family of Candace Cotton?" The doctor walked out to us.

"Yes?" We said getting up.

"She's gonna be fine. The bullet didn't hit anything serious." He informed us.

"Can we see her?" We asked.

"Yes but she is gonna have to take it slow for the next 4 weeks or so." He told us. He led us back to her room. He opened the door and let us in. She was laying on the bed. 

"Hi mom." We said walking in.

"Hey Ms.Cotton." The others greeted her. She smiled at us. We hugged her. 

"When can she come home?" Terell asked the doctor.

"She can go home tomorrow, but someone is going to have to be there to take care of her." He told us.

"I can do that. Dejah can you just get my work from the teacher's?" Terell asked me. I nodded my head. I am just so glad that she is going to be fine. 

"Um Dejah can I talk to you in the hall?" Demarco asked me. I nodded and we walked out of the room. "All this got me thinking that could have been you. I really want to be the one to protect and be there for you. So Dejah will you officially be mine?" He asked me. I smiled and nodded my head. He smiled and pulled me into a hug. We walked back into the hospital room. Briona was sitting on Terell lap in the chair. I hope that this means that they are going to be working this out. I want them to be together cause Monique is nothing but a bad tumor. Briona is just better for him. 

"Aye I have to get the kids home." Briona told me. I nodded my head. 

"Mom, I love you. I'll be back." I told her. 

"Actually you go home and Terell take the twins home cause y'all have school tomorrow." She told us.

"What about you?" He asked her.

"You can come back up here." She told him. He nodded and we all walked out of the room. We walked out of the hospital. Me and the girls walked to my car. We got in and Faith and Cameron on Briona and Icelynn laps. I pulled off and dropped Icelynn off first. I then took Briona home. I pulled off from her house and drove down the street. Philly was busy tonight. It was cops everywhere. I don't even think I want to go home tonight. I just can't wait until May. We graduate on the 31st. I can't wait. 

I dropped Destyni off at home and drove home. I got back to my house. The cops were outside and they were talking to Terell. I walked inside the house and walked to the kitchen table. I sat down. I looked around the house and just busted out crying. Once the first tear fell the others streamed down. 

"Hey lil sis. She gonna make it through this. You heard the doctor." Terell said hugging me. I sniffled. 

"I want you to make it right with Briona. Mom wants it too." I told him.

"I will. I promise. I miss her so much." He sniffled. I looked up and saw a tear slip out of his eyes. I wiped his tears away. 

"I'm going to go to bed." I told him. I stood up from the chair and pushed it in. I slowly walked away from the table and out of the kitchen. I walked through the living room and up the stairs. I walked up to my room. I found my way into my room. I got some clothes out and took them to the bathroom. I started the shower up. I slowly took my clothes off one by one. I stepped into the shower. I let the water hit my body and roll off. I cracked my neck and massaged my body. I got my body wash off of the tub. I squirted some on my loofah. I then wet it and got the bubbles on it. I rubbed it on my body washing my body. I rinsed the soap off and got out of the shower. I dried my hair. I'm taking these braids out tomorrow. I dried my body off. I got dresses. I don't sleep with panties on cause I need my pussy to breath. 

I walked to my room. I put on some socks. I walked to my charger. I plugged my phone up. I had my backpack packed and my duffle bag for try outs. I am the captain of the team so I am charge of the try-outs. I pulled my covers back and laid out in the bed.
