Chapter-2.1
A New Life
"Mom said you are going to a Wizarding place!" Shreya said excitedly, "An Old Man Came-"
"Dumbledore!"
"Oh Yes! What a fancy name-" She stood in front of him, all dressed in blue and she wore a long hat, "So can you ask this, Dumbydore, if I could also visit you sometime? I just wanna see the castle. I am not sure if they'll allow me there."
Shiron sat up and held Shreya's hands. She looked lovely and her cheeks were unusually red this morning.
"Who knows? You might be lucky as well."
Shiron said, jumping from the bed and he stood in front of the mirror, inspecting his weird scar, "Magic is real." He mumbled.
"Did he really arrange this room?" Shreya danced around the room observing every corner as if she was imagining the scene in her mind. Her eyes carried the mesmerized look which she could no longer hide. She began dreaming of going to this place, Wizardock, and Shiron could feel it her voice. "This is spectacular, Bro!"
"Yeah, he did it with his magic wand" Shiron waved his hand swiftly across the room, the way Dumbledore did but with a wand, "Now tell me, sweet sister, why is mom acting weird and you better tell me the truth or I'll turn you into a fluffy cat!"
"Well, she's not!" Shreya grunted, "She is just preparing herself for what the old man told her, that Dumbydore, Im afraid he kinda scared her but-"
"But...what?" Shiron asked faintly picking up his old cricket bat.
"Mom has no clue about all of this, the magic and the wizards and the dwarves, and from what I know, she just wanted you to join some decent college and shhh-"
She hushed him before he could speak, "Look I know you never wanted to go to IIT or to some boring college" She tried to make an Eye contact with him, "-and you are finally going somewhere that you were wishing for a very long time."
"How do you know?"
Shiron looked at her weirdly, controlling his morning yawns.
"I am your sister. I understand you. You don't like it here, the city, the school, nothing fancy you, right? You always wanted things differently."
"And you were always happy with what you got!"
"That's what I think is the best! If father had been here-"
"Please, no! I don't wanna talk about him!"
"Sorry! I shouldn't have said that!"
She apologized and looked away. The room went cold with silence and anger. Shiron never liked talking about their father and the silence of Mrs. Sheridan only made it worse. Shiron stopped asking questions and started hating his father for not being with him. He didn't believe them, the neighbors and the relatives, all claiming that he died or even worse, committed suicide. Shiron never believed those lies and her mother never talked to them about him. Shiron could see the tears in Shreya's eye and he realised that he went a little harsh on her.
She was just twelve after all.
"So are you coming to the platform, right, Shru...oh wait" Shiron figured a way to cheer her up, "You haven't seen the letter!"
"The LETTER!" She yelled.
Shiron jumped around the bed and searched for his letter, it never stayed in one place, it kept flying around the room. This time, it was near the pillow. Shiron presented the official Wizardock letter to Shreya.
