Cobbleton was always a simple town, with simple people. Everyone followed the rules, and everyone was happy; and hidden. Hidden from all the cruel things that wandered aimlessly out in the real world. But what happened was so sudden. One day everyone smiled, but cowered in fear the next. Something horrible had made it into Cobbleton. All emotion and life was drained from the town. Not an element in sight. No one knew where it went, or knew anything at all. They had received a new element though, the element of surprise.
