It was just another day of high school doing my usual routine, putting in binders and books in my locker then taking the ones I need out.

Closing my locker I heard my name being called from afar.

"Y/N!" I see Shawn one of my best friends jog up to me smiling like an idiot.

"What?" I asked as we casually walked around the school halls.

"Well, I asked Laur out!" He but his bottom lip trying to keep in his cute squeal.

"That's nice Mendes, did she say yes?" I asked hugging my notebooks.

I knew Shawn since middle school and he's been been there for me thick and thin, I've started gaining feelings for the dork freshmen year, and now we're juniors. I was a little shocked Laur actually agreed with going on a date with Shawn she knows I have feelings for him.

"Yeah!, date nights tomorrow" he smiled at me

"Hey that's our date night" I laughed pouting, Friday was movie night with Shawn.

"It won't hurt if I just skipped one day, we've been doing this since middle school Y/N" he laughed

"True, I'm gonna head off to class, cya" I saluted him then left to class.

~after school~

I tried and tried to stop loving Shawn but it's impossible, who can stop loving his smile, his laugh, his voice, those beautiful brown eyes, his sweet and caring personality.

I came back from school an hour ago, I'd do my homework, changed into my pajamas, and now I'm on a movie date with myself. I was a season into Y/F/S when I heard my doorbell ring.

Pausing the show I went downstairs and opened the front door to see Shawn with tears streaming down his now pale face.

"Shawn?" I pulled him inside the house.

"Wh-What happened?" I farrowed my eyebrows, I placed him on the couch and comforted him.

"L-Lauren's a damn bitch!" He shouted, crying placing his head in his hands.

"What did she do?, I swear I won't hesitate to kill a hoe" I threatened.

"She basically stood me up, calling me thirty minutes late to the date and it wasn't even her voice it was some guys saying she couldn't make cause she was busy!" He quoted "busy" still letting the tears fall.

"Shawn... I'm still here, she's not the only girl in the world, you have almost every girl in school drooling over you" I pout, hugging him from behind.

"I love you" he whispered turning to face me.

He leans in inching closer to my face as I do the same, finally after years I got to feel his soft, plump lips touch mine.

"Y'all need a room!" Looking up we saw my little sister looking at us with disgust, holding her teddy bear.

"Get out!" I laughed throwing a pillow at her
