Chapter Four

I stand over a map that Steve's marking down all the locations of Hydra factories he saw on a map in the one we destroyed.

"The fifth one was here, Poland, in the Baltic. The sixth was about here, thirty or forty miles west of the Maginal line. I just got a quick look," he says as he finishes marking the locations.

"Well nobody's perfect," I say.

He is in his new army uniform.

Whoops.

A bunch of high ranking army officials crowd around Steve as he stands over a huge map with all the Hydra bases marked.

"These are the weapons factories we know about," he tells everyone. Sargent Barnes said that Hydra shipped all the parts to another facility that isn't on this map."

"Agent Carter, coordinate with MI6. I want every Allied eyeball looking for that main Hydra base," Phillips orders me.

"What about us?" I ask.

"We are going to set a fire onto Johann Schmidt's ass. What do you say Rogers? Your map, you think you can wipe Hydra off of it?"

"Yes sir, I'll need a team."

"We're already putting together the best men."

"With all due respect sir, so am I."

I smile at his courage to say that to Phillips.

There is literally nothing he can't do.

The men stop their singing as I walk through the small bar. It irritates me slightly, but then again, I guess that's what I get for wearing a nice blue dress.

Blue is kinda my color.

Bucky and Steve stand up when I walk into the room their in.

"Captain," I say to him.

"Agent Carter," he replies.

"Tara," Bucky says to me.

"Howard has some equipment for you to try," I tell Steve.

"Sounds good," he answers.

"I see your top squad is prepping for duty," I say, commenting on the men singing. I also completely ignore the fact that I'm pretty sure both of them are checking me out.

"You don't like music?"

I chuckle, "I do, actually. Quite a bit. I might even, when this is all over, go dancing."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Bucky asks.

I smile at Steve, "The right partner. 0800 Captain."

"Yes ma'am, I'll be there."

I smile to myself as I walk away.

I change out of the dress and into my practice clothes before heading down to where Howard and Steve should be.

I round the corner where Steve should be, and my eyes widen when I see him kissing Lorraine.

That bitch.

I put my hand in my hips. "Captain, we're ready for you, if you're not otherwise occupied."

He flies away from her the moment he hears my voice.

I turn, and he runs after me.

"Agent Carter, wait," he calls after me.

"Looks like finding a partner wasn't that hard after all," I snap.
