That night was a blur.

My life is just so perfectly perfect, my parents died, my selfish aunt kicked me out of our house claiming she has all the rights to my parents' possessions, I found out that my boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend) just cheated on me with my bestfriend, and I got kicked out of my school for punching that douche, I was left with nothing, I tell you, my life is so damn perfect.

And all of that happened just a little over 5 months ago.

I am Carrie Taylor, and the only good thing about everything that has been happening is that I got a scholarship. Wow.

But seriously, I am happy. God still has graces for me doesn't he?

This scholarship is my only hope, my only way to survive, fees, books, all paid, it also goes with a dorm. Finally! A place to live in.

I've been to many places, slept here and there, oh come on, do I sound like a beggar?

For months, I tried my hardest to live, I worked part-time jobs, I slept in motels, and tried to live everday, fighting and making way through life.

I know. My life is drastic. Don't pity me. I've had enough of that.

A lot of terrible things happen in this world and right now, I think I am one of its target, I guess I'm being played around by the "world".

And so, I ended up in here, Prestridge Academy, where I will spend the next chapter of my life.

"Wow, Prestridge seems to be big" I gasped while walking down the hallway towards the Administration Office, they say.

My arms folded as I walked up towards the door that opens to the office of the "administrator" who apparently looked like an old witch from Harry Potter.

She has those black eyes that bore into you like she's casting a spell on you, her brown hair fading to grey and is out of place, her old wrinkled face covered in colors, her eyes scorched with black and her lips tainted with deep red lipstick, god she looks like someone from the freak show.

"You must be Carrie Taylor? It's a pleasure, and welcome to Prestridge Academy" she exclaimed, faking a smile and holding out her hand to me

I smiled at her and shook her hand after she handed me my schedule.

"Yeah, sure, you too" I said while taking my schedule and hitching my backpack further up on my shoulder.

"Let Ms. Julie here assist you to your dorm" pointing out to a nerd-looking-wannabee

"Thank you Mrs. Carter"

I walked out Mrs. Carter's office with Julie, and into the busy hallway.

Some of the students were leaning against their lockers, conversing with their friends, joking around with their buddies and hurrying into their classrooms.

Oh well, what do I expect? It's in the middle of the semester.

Oh good Lord! This is another battle to deal with.
