By the time I got upstairs Callie was already laying on her bed. On her stomach, face down. She was way too miserable to even put the blanket on herself. "Callie? Look I understand. Your home while Jude is in the hospital probably hoping you were there. But he's going to be okay. There is nothing wrong with him. As much as we all know. The hospital is there for him to get better not to let him suffer. Okay? No ones going to let him suffer." She turned her head. I walked over to her and kneeled down. "You can't be silent forever." I joked trying to make her smile.

I moved my head closer to her face before kissing her. Our lips moved in sync. It was like a perfect piano song. Or maybe violin. She pulled away. "I'm still going to bed." She gave me a slight smile. "Now to before someone sees us." She said as the emotion in her eyes changed.

I walked out into the hall and passed Mariana. I ran downstairs to get my phone and then go to bed. Jesus followed me up the stairs into my room. "So what's up with you and Callie?" Wait what! He knows?

"What are you talking about?" I huffed and Callie's face popped up in my head.

"Come on man. I'm not an idiot." Jesus was being really sneaky.

"Why. Does it look obvious?" Great. Well if it looks obvious whats the point.

"No. It's the way you look at her bro. When you look at Mariana you look at her as just a friend if she wasn't your sister. Callie, you look at as a girlfriend. It's kind of my hidden sixth sense. Me and Mariana can read facial expressions." He explained but Callie, was all I saw in my head.

"Bro. Did you here me?" He knew I wasn't paying attention.

"Yea. I just was zoning out." I looked up at him who gave me the 'your being ridiculous' look.

"About Callie." He stated.

"What!?!" I was embarrassed talking about this around my little brother.

"You were zoning out. About Callie." Facial expressions. They really get you in trouble.

"It's good bro. I'm not gonna tell." Wait. Tell about me and Callie? He better not.

"Ok. So I have a thing for Callie it's just-" he cut me off.

"Look you both have a thing for each other. I'm not gonna say anything okay. Calm down. I know how you feel. I feel the same about Lexi." He hit my shoulder then left.

I didn't get any sleep. I worried about Callie. I looked over to the clock that read '2:18am'. I rolled over and slipped out of bed. I paced myself to Callie and Mariana's room. The door was closed slightly. I peaked my head in to see what Callie was doing. She looked as if she struggled to fall asleep but she looked peaceful. Her right arm rested on her pillow slightly below her nose. Her left arm was hugging the underside of her pillow. I walked back out with less worry and more relief.

Every other hour I feel asleep for about 20 minutes. I didn't get much sleep. I woke up at 6:30am not able to fall asleep. I moped down the stairs. I've never gotten such horrible sleep ever. About and hour later everyone started walking down the stair. Everyone except Callie. I started to get worried. I wouldn't think she did anything, but I hoped she would wake up soon.

Soon enough I heard thumping coming down the stairs. Callie showed up in the kitchen. Still in her grey t-shirt and black sweat pants. Her hair was messy and not brushed. She looked miserable. "Hey love! Do you want anything to eat? Some eggs or I can make pancakes?" Stef wanted her to eat. But Callie was too distraught to even look at food. Seeing her like this made me want to talk to her about it, but it's best to leave her be. She needs some space. Lena told everyone to get ready. When she said we were going to visit Jude, Callie's face looked more lightened. "But mom? Don't we have school?" Wow Mariana's asking about that. She should be happy. Schools her worst enemy. Callie moped back upstairs. I grabbed my backpack and put in my piano music and notebook. I walked outside with Callie following behind me.

We pulled up to a parking space ad we all walked together. All except Callie. She stayed behind trying to calm herself down. I wanted so much to hold her and kiss her letting her know that everything was fine. That Jude was fine. That he's going to be fine. And that nothing can stand in the way of that. But with moms being there, and her needing space, I probably shouldn't.

We signed in for the visitors passes. "Okay loves. Lets all let Callie see Jude first." Stef stated. I looked over to Callie who was already walking quickly down the hall.

About 5 to 10 minutes later, we all arrived I'm Jude's room. Callie was helping Jude walk to and from the bathroom. She looked over to me after moms went to help Jude and she smiled. She smiled slightly. But just enough for me to smile back.

Soon after, a young maybe late 20s female nurse came into the room. She was dressed in purple scrubs and her name was Catherine. She had brown hair ad she was short. "Hey Jude! How are you feeling today?" She must have been Jude's nurse. She had a sweet voice. "Okay well, I have bad but good news." I looked over to Callie who's smile faded here the words 'bad news'.

The nurse took a sheet of clear plastic and put it on a projector that was on the wall. "As you may not be able to see as it's small. There is a tumor perhaps right by his lower lung." Callie looked scared. She didn't blink.

"So he has cancer." Callie said swallowing the only breath she had.

"Not necessarily. Not all tumors are cancerous. A tumor is just a swelling of a part of the body, generally without inflammation, caused by an abnormal growth of tissue. But it's not cancerous. However, he will be needing surgery to remove it because it may grow and become cancerous." Callie's faces looked more relieved with worry still in her eyes.

"So. If its okay with the family, we'll have him I'm surgery with in an hour." The nurse looked over to Stef and Lena.

"The sooner the better." Stef smiled slightly.
