"which shirt says, i'm confident but not cocky?" emery calls out exiting the bathroom into the hotel bedroom.

i look up at him from the bed already dressed for the day. surprisingly it takes him the longest to get ready. i put my phone down looking at the options he chose. he has a blue & white poka dot shirt in one hand & a floral red shirt in the other. he looks at me with his hair still a mess & his eyes drooping, holding the two shirts on hangers. he's been on tour with forever in your mind & i can tell it's really taking a toll on him. today he finally has a day off & he's spending it with me.

"i like the poka dots. you look good in those."

he smiles, quickly putting the red floral shirt on the bed next to me. that's when i notice he's shirtless. as he gets the shirt on he sees me staring at his physique.

"like what you see?" emery says smirking still putting the shirt on.

"wh-what no."

the last time i see his face -before it pops out the shirt hole- there is a playful grin.

"so you don't like you're boyfriend. i'm very offended." he gasps holding his hand to his chest.

i laugh knowing he's only joking with me."shut up." i whine.

emery chuckles before holding his hand out for me to take it. i get off the bed putting my hand in his. we get to the door but when i go to open it emery shuts it right back. he goes to stand infront of the the door holding both of my hands. at this point i'm confused & it's showing. he sees my face & giggles slightly, stepping closer to me so his face his right in mine.

he leans down kissing my lips gently leaving a tingle of passion. his head moves away but not fully, leaving our foreheads together. he then opens his eyes to my already opened ones. smiling, he pecks my nose with his soft plump lips.

still gazing into my eyes he tells me," i love you y/n." i start to say something but i stop seeing he has more to say,"i just had to tell you before we left. i really do appreciate you & i'm grateful for everything you do. you make me so happy, without you i don't know what person i would be." gripping on tight to my hands still, he rubs his thumbs over my skin.

now i'm grinning like an idiot at this angel in front of me,"i love you too emery."

he widely grins, leaning in to kiss me again but this time he places his hands on my waist and i rest my hands on his cheeks.

after having that intimate moment, emery moves away from the door opening it & letting me go first. with that we spend the rest of the day doing the most random things together.
