Chapter 14: Meeting The Pack Part 1

Angel's Pov

I woke up on a soft bed. I slowly opened my eyes.A bright light blinded me. I

groaned and covered my face with my arm. Why is it so bright?

"Sorry about that." Someone said. That voice sounded so familiar... The light was then switched off. I quickly snapped my eyes open.

Trent was in the corner of the room holding a tray of food. There was eggs and bacon on the tray. My mouth watered at the sight of food. My stomach growled loudly. Trent laughed loudly. I huffed at him. We then both stared at eachother. He looked at me intensely. Like he was trying to figure out something. I then broke the silence.

"Are you gonna give me that food in your hand or do I have to starve?" I asked. He rolled his eyes at me. He handed me the plate and I scarfed down the food. I looked up at him with a mouth full of food. He looked at me wide eyed. I chewed and swallowed.

"What?" I said slightly irritated at how much he was staring at me. He shook his head and chuckled.

"Come on get up. Thomas wants to see you" Trent said. I groaned in protest not wanting to leave the soft sanctuary of the bed but I had no choice. I got up and swung my legs off the bed. I stretched my arms over my head and yawned. Trent passed me some clothes. I shooed him out of the room. I did my morning routine and when I was done I opened the door. Trent was leaning on the wall next to the door waiting for me.

"Come on." He said getting off the wall.

"Show me the way servant." I said gesturing forward. He rolled his eyes and walked ahead. I smiled and followed him.

As we walked I took in the details of the house. The walls were grey and black. The floor was granite. And the furniture was made out of dark wood. It was a old Victorian style house.

We walked until we arrived at two huge doors. It was made of wood and had the words 'Alpha's Office' engraved on a gold plate on it. Trent knocked until he heard a "come in" and entered.

The room had bookshelves on every wall. In the middle was a desk with a leather chair. The walls were white and all the furniture was black. I guess these people don't like bright colors.

"Ahh Angel! It's good to see that your awake. Now we have many things to do. We have to get you ready for your acceptance in the pack. And we have to give you a test on your strength and knowledge. You'll also be attending school, AP classes of course and... what else?" Thomas said all in one breath. I nodded and understood everything he said though it was hard. I looked at Trent who looked overwhelmed.

"I think I just forgot." Thomas said and then sighed. "Oh well. Now Angel I will send one of my pack members to help you get ready. They will tell you about the ritual. Now off you go." Thomas said dismissing us.

"Oh and one thing Angel." Thomas said. His voice had a edge to it and his face was hard. "Once you join this pack there is no backing out. You are a part of us. And if you betray my pack and my family, you will be eliminated." He said

"You make it seem as if I'm joining a cult." I said rolling my eyes.

"You should know that I wouldn't try to betray you. I'm not trying to die anytime soon. I need to get my revenge." I said while walking to the door. Thomas nodded at me, pleased at my answer. Trent walked more forward to the door. I walked until I was at the door and paused.

"And you should know that I'm not going to cower because of some death threats. I stopped being afraid of death a long time ago" I said and glanced at him. Thomas looked at me with a mix of shock and understanding. Then he smiled, amused and laughed.
