CHAPTER 2
Sleep feels good.
Wait. Scratch that.
Sleep feels great.
As I tossed and turned in my bed, the electric blanket on the highest, I dreamed. My dreams were full of the same screams, the same pleads, and the death of the event that had happened.
I was standing in the middle of the forest, my eyes on two people. My mother and father. My father, having the power of strength, and my mother, having the power of swiftness. They stood back to back, wolves from the other pack surrounding them.
Fur and blood was all you could see as they snapped and scratched at each other. I tried to move, but I was stuck, my eyes just watching them.
That's when I heard the loudest, most deadliest growl ever.
"London!"
I shot up, the memories of the nightmare gone. I looked up to see Red standing there, his hands on my shoulders, and his eyes filled with worry.
"Are you okay? You were screaming.." He said, watching me carefully. I shrugged him off. "Probably a nightmare." I said.
"Wait, you can't remember it?" He asked, his eyes growing bigger. "No.." I said, as if it was nothing.
He stood there for a few moments, then shook his head. "Anyway, get dressed. I'm showing you around today."

I walked into the bathroom, the cold tiles making my feet sting slightly. I looked into the mirror, and was disgusted by what I saw. My usually bright blonde hair was tangled, and dull. My tanned skin was pale, and I looked skinnier. My blue eyes were faded, and I had dark circles around my eyes.
I went into the shower, putting the water on hot. Chills flowed through my body until it adjusted to the warmth. I shut my eyes, letting my body relax.
Getting out, I reached over, grabbing a bright blue fluffy towel. I wrapped it around my body, and got to work on my make-up.
After applying some mascara, and a little bit of foundation under my eyes, I dried my hair, brushed through it, and put it up in a messy bun.
I walked out of the bathroom, humming softly. I opened my cupboard, and to my pleasure there were clothes that I liked. I put on a white, zip up midrift, and high waisted floral pants. I found some black vans, which were placed at the door, and put them on.
I opened my door, and smirked when Red's mouth dropped open. I shoved him softly, and we started laughing.

"Here's were the pack members tend to stay during the day." Red said, leading me towards a large grassy area, with picnic seats, and a swimming pool. Children were running around, kicking a soccer ball, while the parents sat and watched.
When people started to notice my arrival, they grew quiet. I kept my eyes low, feeling ashamed of myself. I didn't deserve to be here. I started to walk off, until Red grabbed my hand.
My cheeks went red in a instant, and I turned around to his sad eyes. "Don't go.. Please?" He pleaded.
I sighed, but followed him. To my suprise he didn't let go of my hand. It made me feel strange to my stomach.
He took me over to a group of guys who were chatting away. When they saw Red, all of their eyes landed on me. I felt very out of place, standing here with these huge, tall guys.
A blonde guy turned to me, smiling. "Hey, beautiful." He said. I almost gagged. He was disgusting. I hated guys with too much confidence.
Red's grip tightened on my hand, and he pulled me towards him. "Leave her alonde, Bruce." He growled.
Bruce growled back. He was taller than Red, but not by much. "Whatever." He spat, leaving.
Red was still tense. My stomach felt weird with unease as I searched Bruces emotions. It made me scared when the overwhelming amount of longing was there. I shook my head when another guy spoke. "Well that was interesting." He said humorously.
"I'm Greyson, but you can call me Grey." Grey said, holding out his hand. I shook it, and smiled at him. He was about the same size as Red, and well built. His hair was a black brown colour, and his eyes were blue.
The others guys introduced themselves, and I got to know each of them. There was Riley, a very tall and skinny brunette with brown eyes, and Jack, who was Red's hight, and had pitch black hair, but his eyes were bright green.
They were very kind, and welcoming. Red had left to go talk to Grey and Riley, leaving me there to sit and relax. That was until a hand grabbed my by the arm and yanked me backwards roughly.
I yelled out in suprise, making Red turn. I had no idea who was holding onto my, but whoever he was he was mad. He had one arm tight around my neck, and the other around my stomach.
I searched the persons emotions, and could feel the same longing as before. Except this time, there was pure anger and hate. I tried to change his emotions to be calm, but I couldn't.
Damn it. He's a high-position.
That's the thing with my powers. They are limited. I can only control people who don't have important position's feelings. The rest I can feel but can't control.
Almost every eye was on me, and I was shaking uncontrollably. Most mothers took their children away, while the fathers stayed, and watched.
Red took a step forward, but that made the mans grip tighten.
"Bruce, let her go." Red said. Fear pumped through my body. I knew something was wrong with him when I met him.
A animalistic voice came from the voice behind me. "I want her to be mine. Not yours." Bruce growled, taking a step backwards.
I heard doors open, and a loud, stern voice. "Let her go. Now."
Bruce let me go, shock filling his face. My eyes landed on the man who was standing at the doors. I stared at him, until Bruce said,
"Sorry, Alpha."
