Chapter one

          It was the week before summer holidays. Scarlet and I were walking back to Annie and Summer’s house for our after school snack and then homework when we were suddenly stopped by the conceited kids from the school across from ours. It was Aaron and his little posse come flirt with scarlet. Though scarlet hates them so she will do anything to stop it but You see our uniforms are not the best for a fight. Today my hair was back in a bun however. Scarlet’s was hanging loose. Our uniforms had navy blue blazers with a Peter Pan collar blouse underneath. Our black and yellow ties and our black skirts halfway up our thigh, white knee high socks with little black patent leather shoes.

So you see it’s not the best choice of outfit to get in a fight in but I guess you could say our uniforms were better made then the other kids anyway, Aaron came over to us. His posse giggling like a group of gaggling, giggling girls it was so embarrassing but when one of Aaron’s little posse member’s named Will walked over to us he put his arm around Scarlet. Every day they’re here and he always does that by then I should have guessed Scarlet was sick of it but she told me so I wasn’t surprised when she said in a disgusted voice

 “Get your arm off of me or else!!!”

“Or else what you’ll get your stuck-up friend over there to snarl at me?” he sneered his mates laughed at his poor joke

“No. I’ll do that there is no need for dear Amelia to waste her breath on horrendous vermin such as you!” Scarlet sneer right back at him

“Oh so you can talk?” whispered Aaron

“Yes I can. Everyone can talk they just choose not to. Anyway like I said GET YOUR ARM OFF OF ME!” she said rather calmly in fact more calmly then I could have ever said

“Well I could say yes but what would be the fun in that, I wouldn’t be able to see what your ‘or else’ is” he winked

“Well then I’ll give you one last chance otherwise I will use . . . Never mind just one more chance “

“Other wise what. Actually you know what I’m just going to say I’m not going to move my arm from around your shoulder” he replied rather quickly in fact too quickly 

“Fine then I will just have to do this . . .” She said and then nailed a perfect cobra twist which consisted of striking the subjects arm and twisting until the subject is down and unconscious  

When I heard the high pitched scream of pain that came from this ‘tough’ boy I couldn’t help but burst out laughing I think he might be a little ashamed but all I can think about is how she finally stood up to him! Surprisingly Aaron had a smile on his face I must say that I think he was smiling at me and I was happy about it

“Amelia can I talk to you?” said Aaron

“Oh, well um, sure I guess . . .” I sputtered

He walked me over across the street I looked behind me and all the boys were praising Scarlet and she was gazing at one but he seamed oblivious to everything but that one gaze I made sure that I would help my dear scar whether she wanted me to or not!

“Amelia? Earth to Amelia hello?” he said jokingly

“How do you know my name?”  I snapped
