A Trip to Borneo

Chapter 7

The next day isla's leg had healed enough for her to walk on it so isla and I decided to search the island and make a map when we heard whispering.
"Do you hear that?" I asked
"You mean the creepy whispering, yeah i hear that. Is it....is it getting closer?" Isla replied.
Turning around i saw a girl covered in dirt and wearing rags for clothes. She limped towards me and then colapsed on the floor.
"Come on isla, we need to get her back to the cave!"
We carried her to the cave and while she was still unconcious we looked for injuries and discovered there were bite marks on her left leg and lifting up her trouser leg, blood began to pour out of her wounds.
"Errrrr.." i said
"You dont know what to do!" Isla exclaimed
"I'm not an expert"
Suddenly emily pushed us aside.
"I can handle this......i hope" emily said with confidence
We left emily and 20 minutes later we were called back by her.
The girl was awake but in shock.
"What's your name?" Isla asked
"Where are you from?" Emily asked
"How did you get that bite on your leg?" I asked.
She looked at us confused and stutted as she spoke
"Wh-who are y-you?"
"Well my name is Isla and I'm 17 years what's your name?" isla asked
"M-my name is E-Elizabeth"
"How did you get that bite on your leg?" emily asked curiously "I r-remember r-running from s-something but it got m-me and....and then I'm h-here" she said as her eyes began to fill with tears.
"Okay errm...how old are you?" i asked
"I'm 11 t-turning 12 soon"
"Well i'm 16 and most of my friends are 16 and 17, Elizabeth what was chasing you?"
"It was th-the monster" she cried as tears streamed down her face. "You can stay with us until your leg is healed, is that okay?"
"Yeah th-thats amazing! Thank y-you"
We made Elizabeth a bed and then decided to go to sleep but as we slept soundlessly we were unaware of the creature watching us....
