"Hey Blake! Wait up!" I said out of breath.

"Oh hey Cat. What's up." He said with a rosy hue in his cheeks.

"Not much, how about you?" I responded.

"Eh. Not really anything for me either." He replied.

"So... what do you think about Sayaka?" I ask hesitantly.

"She's..... ok I guess." Blake replies unconcerned.

"Ok. Well..... what do you think.... of me?" I say trying to sound casual.

"Well..... you're really nice, you're smart, and .... well you're pretty." Blake says blushing a bit.

"Th-thanks." I say also blushing, "Hey, can you come over today?" I ask.

"Sure. But I need to make sure to have enough time to do homework." Blake replies shrugging. I pause to put my unneeded textbooks into my locker.

"Blake! Cat!" I hear someone shout. I turn around and sling my backpack on already knowing who it is and preparing to move. Ava runs up to me and practically pounces on me. I move out of the way just in time so that she won't knock me over. She crashes into Blake and apologises.

"Why are you so mean." Ava says glaring at me.

"Hey it's not my fault. I just don't feel like getting knocked over every day." I say defensively holding my hands up. Then in a flash of black hair and blue jeans she darts under my arm and snatches my waterbottle.

"Hey! Give it back!" I exclaim annoyed.

"Not until you say you're sorry." Ava joked.

"Seriously I need to get to class. Give... It... Back!" I say getting louder as I talk.

"Ok Ok. I was just kidding!" Ava says reluctantly handing it back.

"Thank you." I say sharply.

Ava was always this way. Honestly I wish that Sarah would have believed me that I could never have hurt Aron but she didn't and to be honest, I'd take Sarah over Ava any day. I mean Sarah did a bit of light teasing, but Ava kept stealing my stuff and I hated it! But at the time I didn't really mind as much because I had Blake coming over. I'd liked him for a long time but it took me half of the year to figure out that what I was feeling was love.

During school all I could think about was Blake and I wondered if I should tell him or not. Finally the school day came to an end. I ran to the bus stop to meet Blake.

"Hi cat. What do you think we should do when we get to your place?" Blake asked casually.

"Well I don't actually know but I guess we'll find out when we get there." I replied cheerfully. The bus pulled into the stop a few minutes later. I took the window seat and then Blake sat down next to me. Soon we arrived at my stop and we got off.

"Hey I have and idea!" I exclaimed clapping my hands together.

"What is it?" Blake asked slightly curious.

"You want to play truth or dare?" I asked.

"Nah. I don't really like the pressure of that game." He replied looking away.

"Come on! Are you scared?" I said teasing.

"Fine.... but I'm not very good at it." Blake said bluntly.

"Alright then! Truth or dare?"

"Truth"

"When are you going to choose dare?"

"Maybe in two rounds."

This continued until we reached my house.

"Mom I brought a friend over." I called.

"Oh! Come into the kitchen I'll make you two a snack." I heard my mother call from the kitchen.

I lead Blake into the kitchen chatting with him about what to do next.

"Oh!" My mother exclaimed, "Ummm... Cathrine? Can we talk a little?"

"Ok?" I said following her out into the hallway.

"You didn't mention that this friend of yours is a boy!" My mother whispers excitedly.

"Ugh mom! He's a boy. He is not my boyfriend. I don't have a boyfriend!" I whispered agitated.

"Just saying that if, and only if you are into him I could help you out." My mother said winking.

"Mom." I say annoyed, "No, just no."

"Ok ok." She said. We walked back into the kitchen and I tried to act like nothing happened.

"So what was that about?" He asked on the way up to my room.

"Nothing just some annoying mother stuff." I replied slightly embarrassed at the conversation I had with my mother.

"I think I might know what you mean." Blake said slowly, "When I texted my mom to let her know that I was going to your house she started freaking out. In the "Mother" way."

"Heh, nice to know I'm not the only one with that type of mother." I said slightly relieved. "Just wondering though..... was your mother right?" Blake blushes surprised by the question.

"Um.... well... was your mother right?" He asked turning the tables.

"I-I.... maybe." I mumble as soon as I close my door. I look at the floor feeling awkward.

"Well... to be honest.... my mom was right to." Blake admitted. I looked up and my eyes locked with his.

Oh no. But what about Sayaka. I thought.

"Umm... can we just keep this between us? I if one of my friends found out that we liked eachother she'd kill me." I asked nerviously.

"Y-yeah sure." Blake replied.

For the first time in my life I felt like I truly belonged somewhere. I felt loved and I felt like that place was home.

"Umm... there something that I want to tell you.... but I'm afraid that it'll make hate me." He said unusually shy.

"I don't think that I could hate you even if I wanted to." I said tenderly.

"I doubt you'd say that if you knew." He said.

"Well I'm not going to push it so let's find a movie to watch or something. Does that sound good?" I asked hopefully.

"Yeah!" He perked up considerable now that the subject was dropped.
