It's not that I'm still the same person, I just don't have the same attitude as before.

Poppy POV

As I got dressed for today, I remembered I didn't have school today. So, I changed into some joggers and a pink cami top.

I sighed as I forced myself to the kitchen. I take out a the cereal box and pour it in the bowl pouring the milk after.

I look down at my feet to see Gucci staring at her empty food bowl. I get up and getting the dog food, pouring the kibbles into the bowl. She digs in once I step away. I chuckle.

I play music from my Spotify playlist.

"So fucking done with you girl..." I sing along.

I finish eating my cereal and I grab Gucci's leash and put it on her. She tilts her head to the side meaning she's confused on why I'm putting on her leash.

"Park?" I ask. She starts jumping around and I grab my bag from yesterday with the Frisbee and ball and of course my book.

I walk out the house, but before I go to the park, I go to the cafe around the corner.

The doorbell rings as I walk in. I look behind me to see Gucci tied down to the bike parking things and sitting, looking at me with her big blue eyes.

I wait in line and when it's my turn I order.

"Hello. How can I help you?" The boy asks me. He looks a year older than me.

"Hi. Can I please have a Pumpkin Spice latte, a cinnamon bagel, and a piece of white bread." I say.

"No problem." He says. "That will be $8.02."

I give him a 10 dollar bill. He was going to give me the cash back, but I stopped him.

"No. Keep it..." I look at his name tag. "...Jason"

"Thanks. What's your name beautiful?" Jason asks me.

I blush. "Poppy."

He writes down a few things in a piece of paper before giving it to me.

"Call me." He says with a wink before going to another customer from another cashier.

I open the piece of paper.

His number.

I'll have to admit. He was pretty cute.

"Poppy!" I hear my name being called. I go to the pick-up counter and grab the bag from Jason.

"I'll call you soon handsome." I flirt. I see the slight blush on his cheeks and I giggle before leaving the cafe.

I was NOT calling him though he was cute.

4 p.m

I cover my face with my book, but still looking at them. Also, hearing their conversation.

"Dude. She's coming back tomorrow." I hear Dean say. "Besides, we all know she hates you."

Who's she?

"Also, we have football practice tomorrow." Ryder says.

"But...I feel bad. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Why doesn't she like me?" Cody asks pouting.

It was just those 3. Ryder, Cody, and Dean (Cody's best friend).

"I don't know. Hmm...you constantly hurt her, physically and emotionally." Ryder says. Cody sighs running a hand through his hair.

"Whatever." Cody rolls his eyes and they continuing eating the their ice cream.

A strong cold breeze passes by me and I shiver. Gucci starts barking and I glare at her.

"Shhhh Gucci!" I whisper yell at her. She starts running around and chasing her tail. I keep trying to shush her, but its not working. My book falls to the ground as I grab my bag to throw the Frisbee. I freeze and look up to see Cody, Ryder, and Dean staring at me.

I quickly look away and grab my things and Gucci's leash. I get up from the bench and start speed walking away.

"Hey! Come back!" I hear Cody yell from behind me. I walk faster until I'm no longer at the park. I sigh a sigh of relief as I start slowing down.

I finally reach home and go inside. I walk upstairs to my room, pulling out my laptop and clicking on the Netflix icon. Gucci sits on my lap, staring as the Netflix logo pops up. I smile as Gucci points to Fuller House and I, obeying her orders, start watching it with her.

My dog is so smart.
