I woke up in a strange room and realized that the man who had been singing was now staring at me and the silence in the room was deafening, so I broke it. Words were coming from my mouth before I could stop them. I told him my name and where I was from and I watched as his expression changed from a slight smile to a huge grin.
" I am Nikolas and I too am from Sparta."
"Hello Nikolas" I said.
We spent the whole night talking. We spoke about our families, our lost loves, and what we did to fill our days. I was intrigued by how he fought people for money and how he was an outcast from Mt Olympus and how he was almost a god, but not quite. I told him how I was a Hunter of Artemis, and about my vow. I told him how hard it was to live without my family, and he knew exactly how I felt.
We conversed all night and I knew that I was starting to fall in love with him. His crooked smile made my heart pound and so did his soft soothing voice. When the sun came up I knew it was time to leave and continue my journey but by the time I left the afternoon sun was just starting to make its way across the sky. Before I left we both confessed our forbidden love for one another and then I started walking south west aware now that it would take me at least two days to walk home to Sparta.
It wasn't long before I heard hooves behind me and I abruptly turned around to see Nikolas, sitting high on a beautiful white horse.
