Kristy's P.O.V.
The music was so loud I couldn't even hear myself think!
"Who the hell are these people?!" I asked. "'Cause I certainly don't know them."
"We sure as hell don't either!" Dylan screamed with a great big smile on his face, "Isn't it awesome? Hah, no I'm just kiddin, they're friends of friends. Actually I think we do know them all. We just don't really talk to them."
"Really?" I asked, "Are ya sure?"
"Umm, no not really." he shook his head.
"Oh, don't listen to him." Josh said. "We really do know them. There's only a few we don't, but they're here with people we do, so its all good!"
"Riggghhht, and they are with people we don't...who are with people we don't ... and some more we don't, and...shall I go on?"
They laughed, "Nah, im just kiddin. I don't mind-I think I actually met most of these people before." I said.
It was true, they were mostly just people I knew, but didn't hang out with, so I didn't recognise them right away.
"Anywayyss, ima go back to the kitchen and grab a drink."
"'Kay, we'll be out front." Dylan pointed outside.
"Meet ya out there in like two point two seconds."
I turned and headed for the kitchen as they went outside.
I was bent over in the fridge looking for something to drink when I heard a familiar voice call my name, "Kristy?"
I jumped at the sound of my name, and hit my head off the fridge.
"Ow. Nick?!"
No way. It couldn't be him.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Well, we just moved here, and my cousin said that there was a huge party tonight and I hadda be here. So here I am." he explained.
"What are you doing here?" he questioned.
"Umm, well other than the fact that the party's for me? Im getting a drink." I stated.
"The party's for you?!"'
"Yup. So who's your cousin?"
"Ah, her names Stacy."
"You have got to be kidding me!"
"What?" he asked.
"Oops. That wasn't supposed to be out loud."
He laughed, "And why wasn't it supposed to be out loud?"
I ducked back into the fridge, grabbed a can of pop, and shut it-I was getting cold standin there with it open on me!
...that and I didn't wanna explain that his cousin was a little bitch who hated me.
"I may or may not have knocked her out."
I opened my pop and started drinking.
"You're kidding me!" he looked like he was trying not to laugh. "Why?"
I shrugged, "She called me a bitch."
Then he really did laugh. "You knocked her out 'cause she called you a bitch?" he hadda stop for a second to laugh, "That's awesome!"
I was shocked; usually he was nicer. "Do you not like her?" I asked.
"Ha! Your funny! There's no way anyone could ever like her."
I nodded my head, "Ya got a point there."
"Why'd she call you a bitch?" he asked.
"As if she needed a reason. Have you met your cousin? Stacy isn't the type of person to need a reason to be rude. Its what makes life interesting for her. Well, anyways, she did have a reason. Not a great on if you ask me though."
"What was her not so great reason?"
"Well, she was hangin all over my brother and I told her to back off, 'cause he had already made it obvious he wanted nothing to do with her. He was startin to get pissed off, but he's to nice; she's a girl so he wouldn't do anything. I, however, would. She said some nasty things to me and I was getting mad, but when she called me a bitch, that was it. We'll not get into the nasty things."
"Wow. That's quite a story."
"Yup." I smiled. "But I'd really rather not stand in the kitchen all night."
"Oh. Right." he looked around, as if just realising (or remembering) he was in the kitchen. "Let's go."
I had finished my pop by then and threw it in the garbage then turned back to Nick.
"Where to?" I asked.
"Umm, I donno. You pick."
"I got no idea." I said.
"Well, I don't either. This is the only time I've ever been here. At least you know where to go."
"I suppose..." I trailed off.
"So?"
"Um, well, I should probably go tell the guys what im doin' or they'll think that someone kidnapped me or something, 'cause I only told them I was getting a
drink and would be right out."
"Okay, I'll come with you."
We managed to squeeze our way through the crowd and get outside just as the guys were coming in.
"Hey! There you are. What took ya so long, we were just about to go lookin for ya." Josh said.
"Let me guess-you thought I was kidnapped?"
"Yeah."
"I ran into a friend from Julie's and we were talkin, sorry." I explained.
"Oh, its okay. Where's this friend of yours?" he asked.
"Ah, he's right-" I started to look behind me to point him out.
But he was gone.
"Sorry, was right there." I corrected.
"Wait, how did a friend you met while you were with Julie wind up at this party?" Josh asked.
"Oh you'll just love this one. He's here with his cousin." I said.
"I don't get it." he said, looking blank-he was expecting something big and bad.
"Yeah. You will in a second. Guess who his cousin is?" I didn't give him time to guess. "Stacy."
"No way!"
"Yes way!"
"No way."
"Yes way.'
"No-" he began, but Cole cut him off.
"Yes way!"
"Anyway! Ima go inside and try to find him." I said, walkng back inside.
"'Kay, we'll be out back." Riley hollered.
The living room was basically a dance floor, and once I got to the middle of it I decided he wasn't on it.
Then a heard a voice whisper in my ear, "Wanna dance?"
