Babysitters and Serial Killers

One night, a mother and a father went out on a romantic date night. They left their neighbor's seventeen year old daughter to watch their three children. Suzy, the babysitter, put the six year old boy to bed at around 7:30. Fifteen minutes later, she got a text that said, "Have you checked the children?"  Thinking it was the children's parents, she hastily replied that she had. At around 9:00, she sent the 11 year old daughter to bed. Fifteen minutes later, Suzy got another text that said, "Are you sure you've checked the children?"  Again, she replied that she had. Now it was about 11:30 when the 14 year old daughter finally went to bed. Again, Suzy got a text. This one said, "I don't think you checked the children."  Just then, Suzy heard a high pitched scream. She ran up the stairs to see the fourteen year old girl in a pool of her own blood, a knife stabbing through her throat, pinning her to the ground. Suzy ran to the 11 year old girl's bedroom, and found her dead in the same fashion as the 14 year old girl. She ran to the 6 year old boys bedroom and found him dead in the same fashion as the first two. She ran downstairs and dialed 911. The police showed up about 10 minutes later, and Suzy was sitting on the couch, eyes wide. The police took her to a mental institute, where she stayed for a few years. Then, they went upstairs and saw the children lying dead. Except, the body of the fourteen year old girl was gone, and only a pool of blood and the knife that had stabbed her remained. They never found the body. Some say she never really died. Some say that she was the one who killed the children. She had been on her phone the whole night. Maybe she had been the one texting the babysitter? Some have theorized, but none have been able to conclude what had happened
