"RUN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SLOWING DOWN FOR? RUN!" I shout ignoring the pain swelling up in my back. Running over any debris that I come across, I look over my shoulder believing my partner is right behind me, and instead, I find him close to the monster's grip. The monster has large sharp spiral horns, the a face of a ram, and the body of a bull attached to human arms. In other words, I'm dealing with a minotaur coated in white flames like armor. I see my partner struggling to get away from the monster. Blood is dripping right down from his head falling into his eyes, preventing him from seeing clearly so he trips down and falls flat on his face. The second I saw it happen, I stopped running and took a deep breath.

I can't believe my hands are shaking this much, and I'm supposed to be a trained warrior who is able to maintain her composure at all times. This is embarrassing. The last time I remember being genuinely scared of something, is when I first found out I had abilities, that was a traumatic experience I don't ever want to go through again. So why am I this frightened? This shouldn't bother me like that day! No, I do know why I'm this shaken, and it's because I'm afraid I might cause a mess, like I always used to do. But, I just can't do nothing and watch him die! The hell with it! I rather do something than do nothing.

I turn around to face the monster. The first thing that catches my attention is its eyes. There is no sign of emotion except rage, and the longer I keep staring into its eyes the more my hands tremble ferociously. I take a deep breath one more time, then I let the surge of energy expand in my stomach, allowing it to flow through my body, into the palm of my left hand, forging an immense amount of electricity. When I'm done preparing, I jump as high as I can, reaching at least fifty feet in the air, and before the monster can react, I instantly shoot a bolt of electricity through its chest killing it on the spot. The monster falls backwards as I fall back to the ground landing on my feet. My partner is surprised that he falls to the ground out breath, with blood still dripping from his head, but by the looks of it he seems fine. He shouts: "Just go on without me already! It doesn't look like you need me that much, Alexis."

"August. I can't do this alone, so don't you dare give up that easily." I shout back joyfully as I walk towards him. When I get there, I'm able to see how severe his injuries are. First, I notice the wound on his head since he has short brown hair. I use my power again to create electricity in my hands, and I place them on his chest. August sighs in relief as all the wounds in his body disappear within the blue light.

Thank Goodness he was not severely hurt because if he were, I don't think I could have healed him. My power is mostly used to destroy, not restore. Once we get back to headquarters, I am going make sure he sees a real doctor.

"How do you feel?" I ask. August stands up and he begins to stretch like he just woke up from a afternoon nap.

"I feel much more better thanks to you. I owe you one." August slaps my back that I stumble forward a bit: "When I get taller than you, I will make you pay for every painful experience I went through because of you." He looks down surprise. Then, he takes a few steps close to me that we are practically inches away from each other, and he whispers, "I'll be waiting when that happens. So until then let me do as I please."

"I don't want to boost your ego anymore than it already is." I turn around and to start to head towards the direction of the giant stone door.

"That's what I love about you."

"You love getting yelled at all the time?"

"You know that's not why I mean."

"I know. Let's go already! We are almost done with this mission. Once we retrieve the weapon through that door, we can return back home while you buy me book for saving your life." I shout joyfully. He gets up with a smirk on his face, and sprints towards me.
