In the control room, the paladins were sitting in their chairs except for Allura being were she mostly is. An alarm started blaring. "What's going on?" Keith asked, looking at the screen. Pidge added, "Yeah, these have never gone off before." "Is there something happening?" Olivia asked. "Allura, what is it?" Lance asked, looking at Allura. "Looks like you guys just saw a ghost," Hunk commented. "That's just the thing," Coran started answering their questions, "It's an old Altean distress code. One used by King Alfor's ships." "Could it be? Are we not the last Alteans alive?" Allura said, little hope in her voice. "Wait. What if someone's cloning the signal to try and lure us in?" Keith thought outloud. "Yeah, I agree. After falling for something like this I almost died," Olivia reminded everyone of the time she was tortured. "The signal is from an Altean ship, and we're going to find it," Allura said.

The Castle went through a wormhole to see a part of a ship stuck in a hole. "That looks like a Tel-Galax exploration shuttle," Allura informed, "One of my father's deep space vessels." "According to the ship's identification code, it's Commodore Trayling's ship," Coran spoke, "But I don't see any records of its destination or mission." "What happened to it?" Lance asked. "Is it stuck in a wormhole?" Hunk suggested a theory. Coran said, "That's unlike any wormhole I've ever seen." "There's a massive amount of energy emanating from it, centered right where the ship is stuck," Pidge spoke. "Olivia, can you feel anything from the hole?" Keith asked. Olivia got out of her chair to get close to the glass. She closed her eyes and tried to focus on the energy. "I do sense the large mount of energy. Though something seems different about this," Olivia said, she opened her eyes.

"We have to see if anyone is aboard. They may need our help," Allura kept being stubborn. "We could send a probe over to it, see if we can get some kind of idea what this thing is?" Pidge suggested. "I'll summon a weapon to go along," Olivia added. "Do it," Keith agreed. The probe and Olivia's staff went to the hole. "The energy shows no signs of radioactive decay and it's not thermal," Pidge explained. Hunk added, "It's not gravitational, our probe is steady on course, and the light is radiating out, not in, like it would in a black hole." "But out from where?" Coran asked himself then he realized, "That energy signature, I know it. It's radiating quintessence!" The probe and weapon went in but they both got ripped apart. Olivia resummon her weapon to see if anything different would happen but it looked the same when it was summoned. "Ooh! That's weird," Hunk stated. "Okay, well, let's not go anywhere near there," Lance said. "We must," Allura still was stubborn. "Hold on. Didn't you just see what happened?" Hunk asked. "Voltron's compositional strength far exceeds anything else in this universe," Allura stated  "We received an Altean distress call, which must mean that someone is alive on the ship. As Paladins of Voltron, it is our duty to help."

"Princess, I still think there's a chance that this whole thing is a trap," Keith held on to his theory of it being a trap.

I'm not letting Olivia or the others to go through the same pain as Olivia did. Keith thought to himself.
