"(Y/N)?" Bellamy cleared his throat. His face was barely visible, despite the full moon and the burning fire, but you could see how his lips formed a straight line. "Can we talk?" He swallowed. "Please?" His voice was nothing but a soft whisper and you fought your first instinct to tell him no.
"What's there to talk about?" You sounded a little bitter while you moved aside so Bellamy could sit down next to you. The burning flames couldn't really warm you and a shiver rolled down your spine when the cold wind touched your cheeks. "I got your message. Loud and clear." You lifted your chin and straightened your back.
"I'm sorry." Bellamy bent his head and avoided your glance, but when he sat down next to you his hip touched yours. "Every time I see you, I regret what I did." He folded his hands in his lap and all of a sudden he seemed small and breakable, even though he had never been either of it.
"You do?" You raised your eyebrows while you turned your head to face him. "I don't believe you." Your voice was trembling a little, but you tried to ignore it. "You shot the chancellor to get aboard of a spaceship because your sister was in there." You sighed. "You could have crashed on earth. You could have suffocated. You could have died. And still you did it. Without thinking about anything. Without thinking about me."
"I never meant to hurt you." Bellamy placed his hand on your leg, like he had done so often before.
"You left, Bellamy." You raised your voice and you ignored the turning heads around you. "You went to earth and I stayed behind on the ark and you knew that there was a big chance we would never see each other again and still you did it. You didn't even take the time to say goodbye." You wanted to stand up from your seat, but Bellamy curled his fingers around your wrist and pulled you back. "What do you want, Bellamy? Do you want me to forgive you? Do you want me to forget it? Do you want me to not care that your sister is more important to you than I'll ever be?"
Bellamy kept silent for a moment, but he didn't let your hand go. "No, I don't." He eventually answered. "I don't want you to forget it. I don't want you to forgive it and don't want you to not care." He spoke softly and slowly you turned around so you could face him again. "I swore to protect her. I swore to be there for her. I swore to make sure nothing would happen to her. I had to go with her." His eyes were filled with tears while he locked his glance with yours.
"Then what are you asking me, Bellamy? Then what do you want to talk about?" You shook your head and placed one hand in your side. "Tell me what you want."
"I want a chance to make it up to you." Bellamy spoke softly and eventually he let your arm go. "I know that it will take some time, but I love you. I want to show you that I still love you. I want to show you that I'll never stop loving you."
"You only want a chance? No guarantees? No promises?" You raised your eyebrows and Bellamy nodded. "Good, you get one more chance. Just one. Don't mess it up."
"I won't."
