That was seven years ago and ever since that day I have trained with Zabuza. The training we have done has been tough, especially that since about a year ago that I have surpassed Zabuza in my water style Jutsu. I have had to teach myself different Jutsu and have even tried making up a Jutsu. That didn't work though, to bad too because I was looking forward to it.
"Yuri! Time to get up." Haku yelled down the hall.
Haku. We met him 3 months after I was left with Zabuza. Haku was outside in the snow, alone on a bridge ready to die from the cold. He ran away from his home, because no one from his clan liked him. Ever since he told us I have stuck to his side and never let go. Something in me knew he needed someone his age to be with him, just like me. We are like brother and sister just like... Itachi and I.
I don't think I have ever gone one night hoping Itachi would pop up outside my window smiling and saying, "Sorry it took so long! Come on lets go back to the Leaf!" But of course that never happens. I have to find him on my own.
"Coming." I mumbled and got up out of bed.
Jumping to the bathroom, took a quick shower and dressed in my usual clothing consisting of Black ninja shoes up to my knees, black shorts with a red under shirt and a white sleeveless coat over it with the collar popped, because lets face it that's damn cool. I also had black fingerless gloves going passed my elbows, a bracelet and a ninja pack on my right thigh and lower back.
Lastly when I was 9 Zabuza gave me some silver bracelets that had engravings on them that said, "We are what we repeatedly do." on one and, "Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit." I also wear a black choker around my neck that somehow completes the outfit. Pulling my now long black hair into a ponytail, I smiled my coal black eyes shining with excitement.
"I'm ready for the new mission we have!" I yelled as I walked down the hall in a sing-song voice.
"Great, because you have one minute to eat breakfast and then we are leaving." Haku said and smiled slightly at me.
I smiled back, not being able to hold it back, because he barely ever smiles. His girlie looks were just to adorable. Eating an apple in about thirty seconds, I rushed over to them standing at the door. We walked out in silence as the mist around us covered almost everything to the normal eye. We have lived here for some time so the mist wasn't bad, our eyes being able to see through perfectly.
"So... what's the mission?" I asked breaking the silence.
"The Land of Waves." Zabuza said as we ran down the road to the village. "We are to kill a bridge builder for Gato."
"Uh... why? What did the bridge builder do?" I asked innocently.
"The bridge builder... Tazuna is his name. He is defying Gato. He doesn't want to let Gato take over the Land and is making a bridge to build hope for people there." Haku said solemnly.
He always does this. Solemn on the mission, always in a daze then at home he actually smiles sometimes and is more open.
"Gato is an ass. I mean really, it's such a waste of my efforts." I sighed again.
"I agree. But it pays. Now hurry up we're almost there." Zabuza said speeding up.
"Are we ambushing or not?" I asked turning back to the real mission.
"Ambush. He is coming from the leaf with some ninja guards. They should be tired, having to walk since the bridge builder isn't a ninja." Zabuza said pulling my hopes up.
I nodded and sped up a little, now excited for the fight. Now, I know what your should be thinking if you in this situation. A fourteen year old killing people? I don't kill the person, Zabuza does that. Haku and I just help out, tiring the person out and using our best techniques only when necessary. Haku jumped off and I followed. We jumped in the trees along the path as Zabuza jumped along the other side. I guess we are hanging back while he take them on first.
