She had a lovely face of truth
And new certainties.
A vision came to mind,
Polished reflections that reveal
Many faces that fired the love of man.
Eyes shining, blazed in her own look
In love and pure delight,
You feel a sweetness never known.
In your kindness, you tell me
-Eyes smiling-
We can no longer lock our doors against love.
I won’t hide from your eyes,
You’ll know me
By the wonder shining in the look you have
From how you speak to me
Throughout this realm
Be it what that creates or nature blends.
It was clear in word and in gesture,
I love you
With all the light that gathers in our sphere.
This is the light of great desire
As lightning strikes, so stunned my gaze
My eyes could not support the sight

This is meant to mark the beginning or start of the romantic relationship of the guy and the girl. I'd like to think that she is the guy's first love while the girl has had quite a few other relationships in the past (refer to lines 4 & 5)

------------------------------------
During the start of the year, I got to do an erasure/blackout poetry for one of my classes. I randomly picked up the book Love that moves the sun and other stars from the Penguin Little Black Classics. That book is a compilation of cantos from Paradiso by Dante Alighieri.

These pieces are what I was able to create in the span of five hours due to procrastination. I got help from a friend with the first one but the rest, I did on my own. I'll put a short explanation of what I actually wanted to portray in each piece at the end. But basically these poems are meant to be written by a guy and they narrate the progression of his romantic relationship with this girl.

I'm not really the romantic type of person but this sort of theme fits in with the cantos I had to work with. I was able to make it interesting towards the last ones by playing with its storyline. I'm pretty proud of my work and I would be ecstatic if someone actually wrote all of these for me.

I hope you'll like them and let me know of what you think. Also, I'm aware that I keep changing the POVs which kind of ruins the flow. But like I said, I was only able work with the cantos presented within the book.

Happy reading!
