Decemberunderground Tour House
“Ashlin! Where are my granola bars?” Jade asked, knocking over food boxes while frantically searching for his beloved granola bars.
“You are the last one last night, remember?” Ashlin asked, looking up from her Kerrang! Magazine.
Jade let out a fake cry as he slowly sank to the kitchen floor in denial.
“Can’t you just live on day?” Ashlin said, walking into the kitchen.
Her eyes fell onto the disorganized cupboard Jade created. They bulged in shock, “Davey’s gonna kill you, you know how he is about cleanliness, right?”
“Yes.” Jade slowly stood up and laid his head down on the bar.
Ashlin looked down at him and sighed, “You wanna go out and get some since the guys are still out?”
“Yea!!” Jade squealed, perking up and clapping his hands repetitively.
“Well, we don’t have the keys to the only form of transportation we have, the bus, and it’s pouring rain outside -”
“We can walk. I’ll do anything to get a granola bar.”
“Yeah, right,” Ashlin replied sarcastically as she grabbed an umbrella out of the coat closet, “Like you’d jump off a bridge for a simple granola bar.”
“Well, I wouldn’t go that far. Marissa would kill me!”
The two tour buddies carried on down the street, Jade in addition popping some ninja moves as Ashlin shook her head in confusion.
They arrived at the nearby Farm Fresh. They walked through the sliding doors and entered the food center. Jade knew exactly where the granola bars were and headed to the ‘Vegetarian Snack’ aisle.
“Wait for me, Jade!” Ashlin said, power-walking to catch up.
Jade bent down and picked up the soy granola bar box, “Perfect.”
“Might as well get two while we’re here, Marissa’s starting to get addicted.” Ashlin looked on.
He grabbed another box and looked up at Ashlin, “You want anything to eat for lunch, you and Marissa, like, let’s says……chips and dip?”
“Oh Jade, you’re an angel!” Ashlin said, hugging him tightly as an old couple stared at them weirdly.
They picked up some sour cream, mix, and rippled chips for the meal along with some chicken and rice for dinner that night. They paid at the register and set out for home.
They got home after several rainy day singalongs of Bleed Back and The Interview.
They entered the tour house. Ashlin sat on the couch, starting a conversation with Hunter.
Jade entered the kitchen, welcomed by a glare-giving Davey, “I couldn’t stand your mess, so the nice, giving friend I am, cleaned it up for you.” he said, making a pot of coffee.
Jade laughed, “How’d you know it was me? Thanks, Davey!” He put up Marissa’s granola bar box and popped open his. He grabbed one out and began munching on it happily.
Right then, Marissa came into the kitchen, sleepily, “Mm, good morning, Jadey-kins. May I please have one of your granola bars?” she mumbled.
“NO! MY GRANOLA BARS! THEY’RE MINE!” he mocked himself, then stopped and smiled, “Just kidding, we got you a box!” he said, taking out her box and handing it to her.
“We?” she asked, taking the box.
“Yep, me and Ashlin went out and got them. We walked in the rain and sang Bleed Back. It was so much fun!”
She laughed quietly and sighed as she left for the living room, “Jade Puget, my ninja granola-obsessed boy..”
He grabbed her off guard and kissed her, “Marissa Festa. Sometimes feista, but always besta!”
