Zach and Gil were outside in the courtyard arguing. Rona and Hunter sat on the ground watching them.
"I'm way faster than you" Zach claimed
"Nah you can't be faster than something that can instantly vanish Zach."
"Oh really?"
Zach quickly jolted towards Gil, throwing a punch straight to his chest. Gil instantly vanished before Zach could land his fist. Zach looked around frantically for him. Gil reappeared behind him and struck his neck with a chop.
"SHIT."
Zach trembled slightly before quickly turning and throwing a hook. His fist collided with Gil's cheek, saliva flying out his mouth. Rona and Hunter got up.
"HEY. ZACH WHAT THE HELL?" Hunter shouted running to Gil's aid. Angered, Gil retaliated and punched him in the stomach. He then vanished.
"You deserved that" Rona stated as Zach coughed.
"S-shut up.." he muttered.
Rona stepped in front of Zach and lifted his head up. She then slapped him.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" Zach groaned in pain.
"Don't you ever tell me to shut up. Got it?"
Hunter stood from a distance laughing. The three then headed back into the castle to care for Zach's injuries.
Thomas was up along one of the Castle's walls, watching out for any threats. He rested between two of the pillars, gazing along the empty landscape. Up North rested the blazing Shiva Desert. West was the Zen Mountain and Burrowed Forest. East was shrouded in a dark mist, covering The Haunted Forest. Thomas began to whistle and close his eyes relaxing.
Zeus and Whiskers both were play fighting up at the tower. Butterscotch watched safely from the side of the tower. Zeus grabbed Whiskers with his teeth and threw him off. Without hesitation, Whiskers flew back and attacked Zeus' neck, chomping his teeth down on it. Zeus roared sending out a burst of air out toward Butterscotch. She whimpered and flew off aimlessly. Both Zeus and Whiskers reacted, jumping off and soaring down to catch her. After jumping down, they noticed that she was perfectly fine, floating around in a pink bubble. Her bell was chiming and keeping the bubble intact. The bubble ascended her back up to the top of the tower safely, popping soon after. She gracefully laid down in the center of the platform. Zeus and Whiskers landed back around her and snuggled. Whiskers moved his wings over her and laid just beside her. Zeus laid down and wrapped his large tail around. The three then slept.
Ayden and Madison sat down at the gate of the Castle discussing.
"How did you..find this place?" Madison questioned.
"Well i actually woke up here. This place was full of different creatures that i've never seen before. There were some people as well but not as much."
"And Whiskers..." her voice faded.
"Killed them..? Yeah...he did."
"Why?"
Ayden rubbed his knee and looked out from between the bars of the gate.
"He just didn't like them alright?" Ayden bit his lips.
"What wa-"
"IM NOT SURE OKAY GOSH!" Ayden shouted.
Shocked, Madison stood up from where she sat.
"Well then...bye." Madison's voice was weak and soft. She walked back inside the Castle. Ayden began to cry silently against the wall. He rose his hand up and tapped on his watch.
"G-go back twenty seconds.."
Time froze and everything rewinded. During the rewind, Ayden wiped his tears and sniffled. The moment went on again.
"What was wrong with all the creatures?" Madison finished.
"I-i'm not sure he just didn't like them."
"Ahhh alright." Madison nodded.
"And Ruthie? What happened with her?"
Ayden sat quiet and shrugged. Madison noticed then looked out to the desert. The two remained silent, staring off.
Cathrine, Greer, and Holly all were in their rooms. Their doors remained shut as they slept. The hallways were dim and lit only by the torches and sunlight shinning through the windows.
Gil reappeared in the room at the top of the tower. He rested against the door and groaned in pain. Ruthie remained invisible to him.
"Are you alright Gil?" she asked.
Gil looked around quickly before recognizing the voice, he shrugged and rubbed his cheek.
"Yeah yeah..Zach and I just had a disagreement."
"What about?"
"Oh nothing it was pretty stupid. How's your ghost stuff going along?"
Ruthie appeared in her physical form sitting beside him. She smiled.
"Pretty good. I've been practicing going in and out of it up here. No one comes up here plus it looks all spooky. Sets the mood." She laughed and leaned her head back against the door. He did the same and relaxed.
The Castle remained quiet and peaceful for the rest of the day. Night overcame the sanctuary and the final torch was blown out.
___________________________Watching from the Haunted Forest, the Undead Army waited. The Figure stood in front of them crouched down. Two skeleton hounds barked and growled at her side.
"Shhhhh we can't just yet. We must wait for Master's signal." She grazed her fingers along their bones. A skeleton pointed out with his sword toward the Burrowed Forest. The figure looked over and noticed Grievous' large red eyes along with millions of others. She then bit her lip and turned back to the army.
"Tonight there shall be bloodshed. There shall be death and we will be victorious!"
The army responded back with a loud groan and the clattering of bones.
___________________________Edan and Grievous watched from the forest. They starred and studied the castle. Grievous kept her eyes locked on Zeus at the top of the tower.
"You know your target. Take down the wall then slay the Dragon." Edan reminded her.
Rachael stood beside Edan, her eyes glowing with flames.
"And you." Edan turned to her.
"Bring them hell."
Rachael smirked and nodded slowly.
"I'll ensure they don't escape Sir." she responded.
"Good."
Edan then turned back to face the large army of creatures.
"You all will follow behind Grievous and I into battle. You will all follow our commands and die fighting."
Morgan sat on her Unicorn and nodded in agreement. She sat quietly listening to just the sound of his voice. Edan whistled and a large phoenix flew overhead. It landed down on the ground in front of him and clasped it's wings down. It's body shrunk and the flames disappeared, leaving only a small chicken. Sir Clucks-A-Lot looked up at Edan with his deep red eyes.
"And for you little buddy" he knelt down. "Burn this place to a crisp."
