Chapter: Glittery

"Those who leave a trail of glitter will not be forgotten."

I don't know where that quote came from, but it has definitely affected me greatly. So much so, in fact, that I wrote a poem based off it.

I want to leave a trail of glitter.

People always say I have a heart of gold

But I want more

I want everyone I touch

To have a trace of gold when I leave.

I want them to remember

And smile

Because

Even in a dark world

I stayed light.

I want to leave a trail of glitter.

I want to change

Someone's life

And make their world

Just a little better.

I want to be the person

Who lights up a room

When I walk in.

I want people to see me

And think happy thoughts.

I want to leave a trail of glitter.

I'm going to change

The world

Or at least

The places I go.

I'll exude positivity

And people will look at me

And feel golden.

I will be bright

And happy

And I will not be forgotten.

I will leave a trail of glitter.
