Bella:

Friday had rolled around a lot faster than I would've liked. Usually everyone loves Friday because it's the beginning of the weekend. I mean come on, Friday and Saturday are the best. But this Friday gave me the chills probably more so because it was cold outside. I had a calculus quiz that I had a fifty/fifty chance of passing or failing and Adelaide was forcing me to go to the football game. She even insisted that she drive me there herself.

The gang hasn't left me alone since the day I told Cassidy she has an extreme nose hair issue. I even tried to fly under the radar and sit alone at lunch but they just pulled me back to their table. I had never had friends before and I would be the biggest liar if I said it wasn't nice.

They had slowly began to grow on me this past week but I wasn't allowing them to see that. I was still trying my best to keep my distance and focus on school and my mom.

I was currently wearing a pair of leggings and black hoodie with my usual shoes. I had plenty of different pairs of shoes but there was something about my classic hightop converses that I just couldn't get over.

"Hey momma." I greet her with a kiss on the cheek and she gives me a small smile. She was dressed in a pair of yoga pants with a plain t-shirt on and her hair pulled back into a neat ponytail.

"I have another doctors appointment this morning." She says as she places her kettle on the stove.

"Ma, why didn't you tell earlier ? I'm skipping school to come with you." I say. It hurt to think of my mom constantly going to the hospital by herself. I wanted to be there for her.

"You told me you had a quiz today, so you can't come." She begins to dig around in the fridge before pulling a package of strawberries and grapes out.

"That quiz is later on in the day, I can go in late and still make it in time to take it."

"What about your new friends, don't you have lunch plans with them or something?"

"No, mom. They want to go to the football game later today but I really don't want to go." I sigh at the thought of having to sit out in the cold and watch big boys throw themselves at each other for the ball.

"You should go." She says nodding her head and popping a grape into her mouth.

"Please let me come with you." I beg. Ever since I told her that I had possibly made new friends she's been pushing me towards them and saying I should give them a chance.

"Alright, but you have to make sure you make it to school in time to take that test." She tries to pull her best stern parenting face but ignore it and give her a hug. She thinks that just because she's the mom in this relationship that and I can't take care of her, but she's wrong. I want to help.

Once we finally made it to the hospital we meet up with her usual doctors and they begin to go over the labs that had come back. We had to meet with a plastic surgeon, a general surgeon, an oncologist, and few more that I really couldn't think of.
