The Red Thief (LoZ Skyward Sword)

CAUTION: You have to read the description if you don't want to be confused. :)

Prologue

My Loftwing dove through the Thunderhead's barrier and I caught a last glimpse of the twinkling stars as we flew back to our home on the Isle of Songs. I didn't know much about the island, or why it looked the way it did, but it was untouched by the creatures that flew these skies. The black bird that took me here doesn't mind the weird creatures. In fact, he gets along with them, which makes life much easier.

I haven't seen Levias in a month, but I occasionally hear roars from beneath the clouds. I wish there was something I could do to help him...

Anyways, the coming day was the day of another knight ceremony. I was planning to have Void (that's the name I gave my Loftwing) fly me to a small island as the sun rose. It was a sky island with a hidden alcove in the side that I used if I needed to hide from night patrols. It would have a great view of the competition. I did this anytime there was a Ceremony, not only because it was entertaining, but because I need to have a good idea of the knights who will be patrolling.

I walked into my little hut made of stolen wood to dump off my haul of the night; I had decided to get risky and steal a new short-sword from the Training Hall (I had accidentally dropped mine running from a patrol group), as well as some food from the bazaar. I had also refilled my flask with water from the waterfall.

Before leaving I strapped the sword over my back, the hilt in easy reach of my right hand. I left and jumped over the edge, letting out a high whistle that sounded sort of like a keese's screech. It was how I got away without any suspicions from the noise of the whistle.

We flew quickly out of the Thunderhead and towards the mini island, a bit close-cut on time because the sun was halfway over the horizon. Void dropped me off and dove just below the clouds to head back to safe flying space.

I slid off the top of the small eggshaped island and into the alcove on the side, and smiled slightly as I watched the sun climb high into the sky.
