About 3 hours ago I found out that Melo in fact did have a girlfriend. Me being his best friend you would think he would tell me but no, I had to find out from a post on social media, not so ideal.

Today I was supposed to spend the day with Ms. Tina helping her get new furniture and I'm getting dressed as we speak. She wanted to get some new things for the house since people were coming over to watch their reality show.

I quickly dressed in some black shorts, some white converse, and a cute body suit I got from H&M. As I made my way down the suburban street I tried to understand why Melo didn't tell me. We were really to starting act like a couple, I see where that went---again.

"Oh hi, honey, I didn't see you coming. I was coming to pick you up." Tina spoke, busy putting her belongings in the car.

"Oh no it's fine! I like walking." I answered honestly. I really did walking, it cleared my head during troubling times, which was today for instance.

"Ok, hop in."

I jumped into her polished looking BMW and headed on our journey. We began to pass the parks with the banged up equipment me and Melo spent hours playing on when we were younger. It was good to reminisce on the times before boyfriends and girlfriends took over.

In about ten minutes we made our way to the large complex. I finally realized that I've been here many times to go to the theater next door.

I didn't know the furniture store was right by the movie theater.

"I know, there wasn't a furniture store wasn't here before. I just found out too." Tina chuckled.

We got out and as we made our way into the oversized store. How much furniture do they have?

Walking, I see a boy who looked about the same build and who had the same hair as Melo with his arm around a much shorter girl. Short even for me seeming that I'm 5'5.

Noticing me burning holes into their backs, they turned their heads. I wasn't shocked more like hurt. Seeing him and her together made the wound feel like cups of salt was thrown into it. All I could do was turn my head.

"Oh, Melo I didn't know you were coming to the movies, with Ashley." Tina quickly pointed out, looking as surprised as I was.

"Oh-h, yea mom. What are you guys doing here?" He asked, avoiding my small glances.

"New furniture."

This conversation was going nowhere and the girlfriend hadn't said anything, probably because of the stifling tension. He hadn't even tried to introduce us, that's when I knew where I stood.

"You guys enjoy your movie, Kyla and I will on our way." Tina made known starting back again towards the large store.

As I went to go with her I heard him say quiet as a mouse, "Bye, Ky."

I didn't have the heart to turn around, nervous that I might have a mental breakdown. How could my own best friend be so secretive and ignorant towards his friend and her feelings.

He was always gonna be a player.

We were shopping for about thirty minutes, me keeping a brave face, until Ms. Tina asked the simple question that has been troubling me for the last few months.
