My heart has burned to ash; Slowly, but surely.
You destroyed my present with your past
But what I salvaged of the mess, is all that matters
This truth, I believe, can set me free.
But I am kept in the darkness
Stop the lies, and let justice come to pass.
A ghostly being appears before me,
Beckoning me to go to him.
He leads the way to a place without a face,
He says, "Follow me."
Thinking of my freedom more than what little sanity I have left,
I follow.
Only to the point where I am stopped at the home of the deceased,
A cemetery.
I sneak a peek at the nearest grave.
My name is carved into the melancholy stone,
Daughter, sister and friend.
Why am I here? What does this mean?
This is my future; crumbled before my eyes.
