I look in to Shawn checking on him, he hasn't been able to sleep much so Camden James and Angelina came to cuddle him. Then a few short minutes ago Brooke came to the door with Jaxon, the son Shawn adopted but only told me about this morning. Jaxon lay next to them Angelina put him next to Shawn instead of her being there because I suppose she knows what it's like, and he's been so excited. "Mama?" Jericho questions softly. I shut the bedroom door once again humming a 'yes' to my son. "Can I take your bird out of his cage?" He looks up very hopefully. Jericho has a basketball tournament but he hurt his ankle and told the coaches about Shawn so they told him to stay home.

"Are all of the doors and windows closed?" I look around quickly scanning the area.

"He can't fly anyways mom what does it matter?" He rolls his eyes a little and I chuckle whistling softly.

"Come here!" I call out gently to my bird. He flies over landing on my shoulder. "He can fly very well, we'd have to clip his wings if we don't want him to fly. He walks up and onto my head while the cats purr brushing against our legs. I shut the back door and all of the windows. "He knows he's not allowed outside so he'll stay in but we need to teach you responsibility, go shut all of the door and windows then turn on the air conditioning." I nod taking my bird off of my head. "Who's a pretty bird, who's a my pretty birdie." I pet his head and he squawks. "Be nice to him," I mumble to the bird while Jericho walks back. "I'm going to get your sister be good."

"Yes mom," my bird squawks scaring Jericho. "Answer," he squeaks making me smile.

"Yes mom," he nods frightened by my bird abilities. He's been around about three days but he picks up what he hears.

"Good morning baby girl," I smile at my small daughter. "Good morning," I lift her into my arms. "Daddy was sleepy too," I giggle at her shut eyes. I run my hand over her back walking into our room waking the kids with much sadness taking them out and down the Jericho. He plays with the kids and I lay Skylar in her swing letting her sleep a little longer. "To your cage Josh," I point sending my bird away. He flies into his cage locking it and sitting patiently.

"I'm gonna teach the cats to do that,"

"This is a beautiful set up darling." The kids are all asleep but my poor boy has had a rough couple of days. Hell his last few weeks have just been awful. I made some tea and there's a swing mounted in our backyard. "I won't be able to stay long." He touches my shoulder and I nod. "But I do still appreciate the gesture." He reassures.

"Wine?" I poor myself a glass getting a soft nod for my love. "I'd really like to take you out somewhere," I sigh leaning on his shoulder. "But I know you don't wanna leave the house like this." I sigh again moving away and bringing my knees to my chest.

"I'd like to take you out too, but I can't take you anywhere like this." He mumbles, he wear his giant sweatpants but still I can see it. The outline of the swollen thing, he says it was only supposed to be one surgery but something happened right before and it spread so they had to do the second surgery as well so he had both done at once and that brought him lots of pain. "After the swelling goes down, after I'm better, I'll take you out for a romantic night and we'll have lots and lots of fun." He sniffs a little from the cool breeze of the night. "But for now all I can offer you is loose hugs and awkward cuddles." He runs his fingers through my hair. "If I could carry you, I'd do that, if I could honestly just hold you the way that I used to for one night, it's been a long time baby girl." I nod while he sighs. There's a knock on our door and my eyes go wide. "Who is it?" Shawn furrows his eyebrows while I run towards the door.

"Some friend you are," Justin rolls his eyes.

"I'm sorry," I wrap my arms around him hugging him tightly. "I forgot I had to ice Shawn," he stops me and I giggle.

"Hey," Shawn waves from a distance not wanting to hurt himself, he stays like this every time someone walks in. He just doesn't want them to accidentally hit him and neither do I.

"I'll show you to your room," I lead him up the stairs holding one finger u pro Shawn who can escalate or descend the stairs very well on his own. "I'm sorry baby, he said he wanted to come and help, he's staying for one week and then he's gone." I nod giving him a sweet kiss. He leads me to the basement where I slowly guide him down the stairs.

"I'm not allowed to be submerged in water," he leads me to the pool slowly pulling all of my clothes off. "But show me what you can do." He smiles letting his feet dip into the cold water. I have to help him with a lot of stuff so I haven't been to work in about a week which isn't bad, I won't be back until his next doctors appointment.

"Why am I supposed to do?" I giggle and he smiles.

"Anything you want," he kisses my shoulder.

"I can't do what I want or you'll get hurt." I huff crossing my arms making him giggle.

"I'd do it if it didn't hurt as much as it does." He pouts.

"Maybe I should just go do it with Justin," I tease an he rolls his eyes.

"Enter Justin's room and I'll kill him, then I'll divorce you." His eyes roll.
