Chapter 10

Damon's POV

Wow, I almost kissed her... I wish I did. If only Vanessa hadn't interrupted. Her touch felt so familiar. Where have I met her before. She reminds me of the Cuban angel that I couldn't find. I turned back once again to see if she was there but she had already mingled with the crowd
"Wow,that was fast" I thought
"Damon! Damon!" I turned as soon as I heard my name and I realized I must have been lost in thought as it seemed that Vanessa had dragged me to a room and  must have been calling my name for a while as her face was rather sour.
"Yes Vanessa, what is it" I asked
"Damon love, it's our engagement, you are meant to spend it with me not some girl" she said with venom
"Vanessa, it's a party,we are meant to mingle." Pulling her out of the room I said "Now come on, we must go entertain the guests" With a sour face she follows me out of the room.
Once I step out of the room like a magnet I am drawn to the figure of a siloette raditiating in the middle of the room. I could feel Vanessa tugging at my arm but I couldn't take my eyes away. While looking at her talk to the man beside her, a feeling arose in me, undescribable, I had never felt like this before.
"How dare he talk to my girl"I thought.
"Wow,my girl??" Where did that come from. But I liked the feeling of that, my girl. Look at me , a man at he's engagement party looking at a woman who it seemed would never be he's.
Feeling Vanessa tugging at me again I turned to her
"What is it Van?"
"Come on Damon, we need to make an announcement" she said and began to walk me to the stage.
"What announcement?" I asked as I had no idea what she was talking about.
"You'll see" she said and pulled me to the stage
She took the mic and began to address the crowd.
"Thank you guys so much for coming..."
As she talked I blurred everything out only paying attention to the angel in the crowd, so far from my reach
"Damon!Damon!" I felt I tug and heard the whisper, I then looked at Vanessa giving me the mic, I hurriedly thanked the crowd for coming and left the stage.
Once I got down from the stage I met with an old friend.
"Congrats man, on setting the date for the wedding" He said
"What date" I thought but instead I thanked him before heading to the bar, I needed something strong after this evening.

I finally posted Yayy!. I'm so so so sorry it took me this long to post, I have been really busy with my YouTube channel (which I would love you guys to check out and give me feedback back...the name is Moments with Ardah), school and all that  but now that I am taking a break from school till January I will be posting regularly.
