Friends and the Unknown (Cam and Matt

Chapter 1

"I do, Augustus."
" I do."
That was about the third time I read The Fault in our Stars and still cried, well, really only dropped a tear or two.

My name Gulianna Paz,but I go by G. I am 15 years old and I think I am pretty,but that is just self confidence. My hair is a light golden brown, usually naturally straight. My eyes are a bright green, which is about one of the only things people will notice me for.

Nobody really ever notices me, besides my best friend; Matthew Espinosa. "Why is the funny, hot viner guy your best friend?" you ask? I really don't know how or why we became best friends. I guess it just happened.

Today I was going to go by Matt's to get breakfast and then we would go to school, which is actually exciting today! All of Matt's friends from Magcon are moving and transferring to are school West Malibu High in California!! I am so excited because they actually think I'm fun and will actually talk to me besides Matt.

I quickly got out of bed and ran to the shower. The hot water wakes me up but again relaxed me. Once I get out, I spray heat protected all over my hair then blow dry it. Like I said, naturally straight hair. After that I do my everyday makeup routine which consists of BB cream, Concealer, rosy cheeks, curled eyelashes, Mascara, and lip balm.

After I'm done I run out to my closet. I wanted to wear something cute and what the guys might like. I put on my black skinny jeans, with my my Aztec black and white tank top,hot pink Doc Martins, and a mesh Neff beanie. I looked nice today, for once.

"Beep,Beep"
I got a text from Matt saying come here quick so I jogged right out the door. Matt lived close to the beach, which wasn't to far from where I lived.
I knocked on his door and saw his older sister, Clara answer.

"Hey G!"
"Hey Clara
! Do you know where Matt is?"
"Yeah, he is upstairs playing xbox. You can just go on up there!"
"Thanks, girl"
"No problem. Oh yeah, if you see Taylor, could you tell him to text me back.
"I will"

Clara hung out with Taylor at Magcon a couple months back, but well, let's just say she was a little to touchy-feely, if you know what I mean.

I ran upstairs and turned left to walk into Matt's room.

"BOO!!!!" He screamed
"Nice try, stupid. Never scared"
"Dang, you are impossible. Are you ready to see the boys again?
"As ever!"

I am so excited about seeing the boys again, all of them. But if only I could change that summer in Florida. If only I could change what happened with him.

Hayes.

Chapter 2

I am scared to see Hayes again. I fell in love with him over the summer and he said I could not tell anybody for personal reasons. Yeah, we'll those personal reasons were quite personal. He was in a make out session with my ex best girl friend, Ridley, in my hotel room!!! I now know putting your other best friend and secret boyfriend in a room doesn't work out so well.

Chapter 3

Me and Matt went downstairs and got the amazing breakfast. His mom is Italian so the breakfast is always amazing. Italian sausage, Raspberry crépes, and rich cherry juice. I mean she can whip up a 5 star entree in minutes. No joke. While Matt was devouring his food, I was thinking. What will happen? How will I react when I see him again? Will he try to-

"Earth to G!" Yelled Matt.
"Oh, sorry, just thinking.
"You are always thinking, more like day dreaming, ALOT.

I playfully pushed him and we both start to laugh.

"OK, you ready to see the crazies or what?!" He asked.

"Heck yeah! Let's go Espinosa, time to try and survive the mob of screaming girls.

"Don't forget the ones who just chase you"

"Would I ever"

Chapter 4

As we got closer and closer to the school, I could already see all of the cars parked in the street and grass. Dozens of girls in crop tops, Magcon sweatshirts, and Abercrombie shorts surrounded the main entrance to the school.

"Uh, Matt" I said without turning my head. "When I said crazies I meant the guys. How are we going to get through all of this?"

" I know. Security won't get here fast enough.

"WAIT! I think we might be able to get through the back way. Remember when we are late we would always go through there to get to next period, detention free.

" I don't know what I would do without you, Genius"

"You can thank me later.but right now we have to turn around to get there.

"Already ahead of ya"

Matt made a sharp U- turn and I swished around the car. I literally felt like I was in Fast and Furious, my favorite!

We carefully and quietly got out of the car ninja style so no one saw us. Everything was going go-

"OMG, ITS MATTHEW ESPINOSA!!!!!" Screamed a teenager.

"Run!!!!!" I yelled.

We dashed toward the door just on time to see a familiar face open the door for us. Taylor.

"Hey man, long time no see. You too, G. Didn't you love that wild beast out there!" He said sarcastically.

"It was absolutely amazing" I answered I the same tone.

"So you guys can just roam around here for the next hour. The school blocked all people who don't go or work at the school, from coming in.

"Nice! Matt, you might want to go show Taylor around a bit. I am going to go out my stuff in the lockers upstairs"

"KK, see you in a bit" he cheered,

"You too!"

Butterflies came up in my stomach and I blushed. I don't know why, but I always liked Matt. Sorta of liked him in a more than a friend way. Of course I loved him as best friend. Just deep inside there was real feelings in there. They just always disappeared before I had any chance to search for them.

Chapter 5

I sprinted up the stairs while quickly glancing out the window, just in time to see the sun rise above the palm trees. Once I made it upstairs, I made a right, then a left, then a sharp left again.

If you don't turn right away on the left, you smack your face into a wall. Believe me I got a bloody nose on picture day because of it.

Once I past the wall I almost run into someone passing by. I quickly dodge then turn around to see the stranger staring at me. But he is no stranger.

It's Hayes. The scandalous, lying, jerk face, if you want to be precise.

"Hey G" he says awkwardly.

"Hayes" I say with an annoyed tone.

I start to walk away and he gens my wrist pulling me toward him until our lips lock.

I try to leave but he just won't let go. So, I knee him in the balls and he lets out a painful moan.

"Touch me one more time, and I'll snap your neck, dumb ass"

His face was red with anger as he lumped away..

I walked back over to my lockers just in time to see my bud, Cam.
