Clary hadn't spoke to anyone. She kept herself in her room ignoring the persistent knocks on her door.
She couldn't think straight. She had lost Luke and Jace in the time span of 1 minute. Her life had changed instantly. She couldn't wrap her head around it.
She hadn't been crying like she expected herself to. She just refused to talk. Or eat. Or sleep.
She heard the Institutes bell ring at least four times in a row.
She furrowed her eyebrows wondering who it could be.
A thump on her window made her heart drop in her stomach. Until she saw Izzy's familiar face. She was smiling even though her face was bright red.
Clary opened the window and let her friend in. "Why did you do that?" Clary asked impressed with the effort but not in the mood to talk to anyone.
"I need to talk to you." She said. She grabbed Clary's wrist. "I'm going to do something. You are king to agree to it." She muttered already scribbling on Clary's wrist with her stele.
Clary recognized the parabatai rune immediately. When Izzy finished, she smiled up at Clary. "You need my strength now more than ever."
Clary hugged the other girl. She hadn't expected that. Clary finished by drawing the matching rune on the girl's shoulder, where she wanted it.
"That's not all, though." Izzy said. "People are at the door for you."
Clary's eyebrows furrowed. "For me?" she asked. Izzy nodded and led her to the door.
It sounded like a joke to Clary. A vampire and a warlock walked into an Institute. It just didn't make sense.
One had straight blonde hair with sparkling blue eyes and freckles splattered all over her cheeks. "It's about time. We've been waiting for like an hour." She crossed her pale arms over her chest.
The girl next to her looked at Clary and said. "Five minutes." Rolling her violet eyes at her friend.
The blonde girl bared her fangs at her friend. The other girl didn't even flinch. Instead she flicked her curly black hair over her shoulder.
She extended a hand to Clary. "I'm Jadilyn Evergreen. This is Brittany Williams. We have heard lots about you."
Clary didn't know what the warlock meant by that.
"You are Clary Fray and Isabelle Lightwood?" Brittany asked. The girls nodded hesitantly. Could they trust these girls?
"Brit! Jade!" they heard a squeal from behind them. Celia came running from the elevator.
"Huh?" Clary backed up slightly as the Shadowhunter hugged the vampire and warlock tightly.
Clary looked to Izzy who looked just as confused. They know each other?
Sebastian knew he had to check up on the prisoner minutely. He knew the 'cage' would hold him for a while, but his brother was clever and his sister was persistent. Something could go wrong.
He sent Maia down there with him, loosely chained next to the Shadowhunter. This would be too easy.
This one is dedicated to these awesome people:
@brittanyschultz14 @Jadilyn thanks for commenting
I'm also trying to make the chapters longer. I hadn't realized how short they were. Sorry guys.
