Hey there readers! Thank you so much for taking the time to check out this book! I have decided to share my poetry after writing for a few years now:) I've been putting it off for a while now just because my poetry has always been a tool I often use to self reflect on what I have and am experiencing day to day. I haven't really ever shared my poetry before, so don't expect Shakespeare quality haha! I will be posting poems I wrote in middle school and ones I have recently come up with. I will be writing about common things young people experience and feel, yet they are often not talked about because it isn't the "cool" thing to do. I feel like society is obsessed with looking and being younger because of plastic surgery and other methods used to look more youthful. Disclaimer: I am not trying to condemn plastic surgery or anything, if that makes you happy then go for it and be who you want to be, all the power to you:) Most people assume that being younger is always easy, so I wanted to challenge that by writing from a perspective of someone who hasn't had it easy because they have lived fewer years. I am writing this book to hopefully inspire others to feel more comfortable with expressing themselves and to know that they aren't alone. I know it sounds super cliche but just one person understanding your point of view can make a difference, often boosting your confidence to the point where you begin to feel like you are worth it. This book is all about showcasing every feeling, experience, and thoughts that us, young people have felt and or still feel whether we are on top of the world or at our lowest of lows. I hope you enjoy<3
