Kai sat on his bed after taking a bath. He sniggered in comfy clothes and sat on his bed thinking.

He thought what he did would stop bothering him but it didn't.

In fact, it was doubled.

He didn't know why. He ruffled his hair and snorted lying down his bed. He concluded that maybe he felt like that because he didn't get the chance to see Jae Mi crestfallen.

He sighs and forces his way to his dreamland.

Meanwhile at the empty and quiet hallways of the hospital, the emergency entrance doors bursted open with a lady lying lifelessly on a single bed, making staffs and crews alert.

"Mom! Please wake up! Don't scare me like this!" Jae Mi cried.

Though some blood stains on her mother's clothes were obviously visible, she still have the nerve to say that to her mom. She never wanted to think about her mom being unable to fight it. She wanted to stay positive but it turned out that she was not being one.

She thought she already accepted the fact of her mom's remaining time, but the truth is, she only shrugged it temporarily.

"Miss I'm sorry you're not allowed inside. Please cooperate." One nurse, who was with her from the ambulance, grasped Jae Mi on her shoulders, making her hit her brakes.

"No! My mom needs me! Let me in! LET ME IN! PLEASE!" She screamed hyterically. She couldn't handle the situation and the nurse was worried that she might snap. She acted so fragile as if her life depended on it too.

The nurse soon couldn't handle her because she was already exerting force so she was pinned on the wall by two male staffs. One nod from the nurse and she was injected with a fast-reacting sedative.

Her back slowly slipped down the wall and her body slumped lousily. She was still on her outburst with her high-pitched voice going low. She panted hard, inhaling air with uneven breathing patterns. Stress, tears and worry are blocking her airways. And not for long her hooded eyes grew heavier and she felt her consciousness drifting off of her.

Tears streamed down her face til her last blink. She was carried by one staff only to lay her on a bed at the emergency room together with some other patients seperated by curtains.

"Get her cellphone. Call someone from her contacts. She might breakdown if she face the possible results alone. From what I saw, I think her mother's already in severe illness." The staff suggested and the nurse followed patting your pockets.

"She doesn't have her cellphone." The nurse sadly said. "If the results of her mother turn out bad I'll be gentle. Don't worry. I'll handle her. She really lost it. She never stopped calling her mom even from the ambulance."

"Do so Shaerin-ah." The staff replied.

At 5:53 am, she abruptly woke up. The moment she gained her consciousness, she made her way towards the room her mother was dragged in. Though still feeling weak, as the side effect of the sedative, she managed to pull her strength as if being chased by time. To her surprise, the doors were closed and the room was dark as she peeked inside.

"Miss? You're the patient's daughter right?" Shaerin called.

Shaerin was alarmed after seeing her bed empty so she immediately let her instincts lead her to the right place.

Jae Mi jogged towards her and held both of her hands. "Please tell me where my mom is! I need to see her!" She pleaded with tears pouring down. "Come. Let's sit first. Calm yourself down and I'll tell you okay?" Shaerin kindly said whilst leading her to a line of chairs.
