Chapter 5

The scream was bone chilling. I couldn't see anything I could only hear it.

"Johnny it's Olivia , I need you to go up to the 5th floor room 523. I can hear screaming over the cameras down here and want it checked out ASAP" I say over the walkie talkie.

" I'm on it boss, heading up there now" he replies.

Just then I got a call

"Hi I'm in room 525 and when I was walking back to my room I could hear a woman screaming in 523 , just thought you should know" the caller says

"Thank you we are looking into it right now" I reply hanging up the phone. We received 3 more calls like that.

" Ok I'm on the 5th floor now. Walking up to the room" Johnny's voice came over the walkie.

We see him slowly walk up to the door. He looks at the camera nodding meaning he can hear what we here as well. The screaming in the background starts to get intense and what sounds like furniture being thrown around is heard as well.

He knocks on the door a couple times , no one answers but the screaming continues. Mel informs me that no one should be in the room as it hasn't been booked out.

"Johnny no one should in in there ,go in the room" I tell him

He looks at the camera like I'm crazy but he turns and we watch him open the door and walk in, what we see next though we could not explain.

As soon as he opens the door and walks out what looks like a white misty figure slips past him and goes down the hall. We watch holding our breaths as he turns on the lights and walks out of frame.

" So um the shower is on full blast and hot, and some of the furniture it up turned. It shouldn't be though, I was only in here 2 hours ago and everything was fine" he says

"Do you still hear screaming?" I ask him as we don't hear anything on the cameras.

"Nope not a sound now, ongoing to fix up in here quickly then come down" he answers.

I lean back in my chair and look over at Mel " did you see what came out of that room?"

She looks at me wide eyed " yeah I did , and I have a feeling that whatever it was, it was responsible for the screaming"

I nod my head, those were my exact thoughts. I've never seen something this big happen in the hotel, it's always just been little things. I'm completely unnerved , and what we just witnessed keeps running through my head.

Johnny comes into my office white faced and out of breath " I am not going into that room again. Atleast not tonight anyways"

"That's fine, look guys I think we should keep this quiet, I don't want the guests to start freaking out or anything ok?" I ask them.

"Yeah that's fine" both Mel and Johnny say walking out of the room talking amongst themselves going back to work.

Little did I know that Mel had left the cameras up at the front desk and a guest walking in had heard the screaming and saw the whole thing, making a copy of the footage.

2 days later****

I was sitting in my office nothing else paranormal had happened since Saturday night thankfully. Neither Mel or Johnny had brought it up since, both eager to forget about it. While putting papers away my phone rings

"Hello walaby hotel"

"Hello, is this Miss Fletcher? the voice asks

"Speaking, may I ask who is calling?"

" My name is Doug smith from the travel channel, we've received a video from a fan, which was taken at your hotel about some paranormal activity 2 days ago. We have a television show called 'Ghost Adventures' and we were wondering if they would be allowed to investigate your hotel?"

" I'm not sure that's a good idea Mr.Smith" I reply dryly. Is this guy insane?

" The men investigating are very professional. We only need one night for what the guys call a 'lockdown' but during the day they do a walk through doing interviews to figure out the hotspots. They will not destroy anything and clean up everything themselves." He says.

I wonder to myself if this wouldn't be such a bad idea, we may very well get answers to what happened on the weekend, and who is in our hotel. Or this could be a colossal mistake. Well I guess we'll see.

" Ok I suppose they can come. I don't want anything wrecked or tons of fans showing up here." I finally say.

" That's fine they are respectable young men and I can assure you things will go smoothly" he says " I'm thinking possibly this weekend they could come?"

I check my computer quickly to see if there are any bookings for Saturday. Luckily it's the slow season as there's no conventions so we don't get a lot of bookings ahead of time. " Yes that's fine, the hotel is booked for Saturday night for you. They will have the entire building for the night as guest check out is 11 I'll have the maids do a quick clean of everything and then after 3 it's completely yours" I tell him.

"Also if it isn't much trouble the guys will need a place to sleep while they are in town, could we book 5 rooms under travel channel. We of course will paying for all of them, also paying the hotel for letting us do the lockdown there." he finishes.

"That's fine , everything is all booked and ready to go. I'll email you with all the details by this afternoon"

"Thank you Miss Fletcher , we are very grateful that your allowing us to film there." he says hanging up.

Well this should be interesting.

So the idea for the last 2 chapters is based on a video I've seen recently on YouTube. I'm sure most have seen it. I thought it was really cool. So what does everyone think so far??
