November 6th, 1912
I was a normal 10 year old girl. I had a mom, a dad and a loving grandma. One day me and my grandma walked over to the market to pick up a loaf of bread. By the time we left the market, it was dark out. "Lets head back, before the thieves come out" my grandma told me. This thought made me worried. As we walked, I heard footsteps behind us. "Grandma!" I yelled. "What daring?!?" She asked concerned. I looked behind us, but no one was there. My grandma looked back too. "Your just paranoid" she reassured me. We continued to walk, I was still feeling a bit worried. We were almost at the house when we got stopped by a man yelling. "Hey!, drop the purse!" The man shouted. My grandma was tough, but she didn't want to risk me getting hurt, so she dropped her purse. "And the necklace!" He screamed. My grandmother always wore her golden locket. It had been passed down generations in her family. It was her most prized possession. In one side of the locket was a picture of me, my mom, my dad, and her. On the other side was a picture of my grandfather who had passed away. "You can have my purse!, but you will never have my locket!" My grandmother yelled back. We both turned around to look at the man. The man had a gun. "Grandma?!?!" I asked nervously. "Crandis!, get in the house!" My grandmother yelled back at me. I was scared, so I did as I was told. I ran inside and told my parents what was happening. We all ran outside. Then we heard the sound of a gun firing, and my grandmother screaming. The robber walked over to her, grabbed her purse and the necklace. We all ran over to my grandmother, whom was lying on the dirt road. "Grandma!" I yelled in tears as I ran towards her. My parents ran with me. My father put his ear up against her chest. "She's still breathing. "Look!" My mom shouted. "He shot her in the arm!, she is going to live!". I had never been more relieved in my life. Yet my grandmother was still in tremendous pain. I had to do something, I just had to. "Hey Mr!" I yelled to the robber whom was running away. He looked back and pointed his gun right at me. "Crandis!, No!" I heard my parents yell in unison. I panicked and grabbed a wooden hoop that was on the ground next to me. As I grabbed it I felt a feeling I had never felt before. It didn't hurt it just felt weird. It felt like something had changed within me. I looked down at the hoop, it had turned purple. My hand also changed colour, it was now pink! The colour spread up my arm. My brown dress turned into a blue and purple outfit. My dark brown hair turned pink and purple. I looked like a totally different person. Although, i didn't even look like a human, I didn't know what I looked like! In all of my anger, I whipped the wooden hoop at the robber. It hit him, and he fell to the ground. "Crandis?!?!" My father yelled. I ran over to the robber, he was still alive just hurt. I felt bad, but I did stop the robber. I grabbed the purse, and the locket. I had a big smile was spread across my face. Though, when I turned around, my parents didn't look to impressed.
