~FIVE~

I look at Derek and my dad. I can't choose who to save and who not to save. My father already knew what was going on but I am conflicted. "Alex," my father says. "It's me or them."

I look at Aiden. I don't know who to follow. I look at Ethan next. Scott looks at me. This can be the moment he trusts me. I promised Derek that I wouldn't cross sides. Right now I am on the line. That's when everyone is staring at me. Derek looks at me with the most confused look. I shake my head. 

I start walking away. I cannot choose. That's when I realize something. "You're going to kill him," I say. 

"I won't hurt anyone else. He needs to die," he says.

"You're not going to kill my dad," I say.

That's when Boyd attacks me. I manage to push him away. So I hurry to try and stop Derek. I look at Scott. "You've gotta stop him," I say.

Issac comes toward me. He throws the first punch. Which hurts but I take him to the ground. I put my knee on him again. I haven't changed to my werewolf to form.

"Issac you've got to stop. This isn't right," I say.

That's when I see Boyd again. I get off Issac and get prepared for Boyd. Issac grabs my arms. I jump and kick Boyd in the chest. Issac falls. So I roll over and try to find Derek. That's when I see all of them are trapped.

Derek looks at me. "Kill him. The others can go. You're beaten. Do it, Derek. Take the first step," dad says. I shake my head.

"Are we serious with this kid? Look at him. He's an Alpha? To what? A couple of useless teenagers?" Kali questions.

"Some have more promise than others," dad answers.

"Let him rise to the occasion then. What'll it be, Derek? Pack or family?" Kali asks.

I look down and see a piece of glass. I kneel down to grab it. Someone's here. It's Allison. When the lights go off I throw the glass at Kali's hand to let Derek go.

"Aah! Aah! Your eyes... cover your eyes," Dad says.

The fighting continues. I see Ennis and Scott fighting. So I run up to go help Scott. When Ennis almost digs his claws into Scott I grab his hand. Derek grabs Ennis.

Scott is laying on the ground. "Are you okay?" I ask. He nods.

"Scott you don't look okay. Let me help you," I say.

He moves away when I try to touch him. "You could try to trust me. After all I saved your life."

Scott moves fast. I move out of the way. When I see he wasn't trying to attack me. Ennis and Derek start falling. I reach out and try to get Derek's arm. Which I slide. I'm holding the ledge with one hand in the other Derek with Ennis holding on to his leg.

I try lifting myself but I can't. "Alex let go," Derek says.

"You'll both die if I let go," I reply.

Scott tries to grab my hand. "You've got so much more to live for," Derek says.

"Forget it. I'm not letting go," I yell.

"Stay strong Alex," Derek says. He claws my arm and I accidentally let go.

Scott pulls me up. "Nooo," I scream. He holds me in his arms. Tears start to form in my eyes.

They're dead because of me. Someone pulls me away from them. I killed an alpha. I know it's Ethan who took me from Scott.

Once Ethan put me in his car. I leaned on the window. It's my fault. I see my arm bleeding. It's not healing. Derek is dead because of me. Ennis is dead because of me. I haven't stopped crying.
