Chapter 23

“Not to you” Eloy’s dad said to me “oh” I looked at Eloy “let’s talk out in the hallway” he said Eloy nodded and he got up and walked outside the door with his father. A little pain popped up in my stomach but it wasn’t as bad as earlier I tried to hear their conversation but it didn’t work, all I heard was mumbling. Damn, it seems that everything goes the opposite way then I want it to be I didn’t want this to happen the finally come inside again and they seem more serious and Eloy’s dad had a shocked face but quickly covered it with seriousness “he must have planned something to happen while they were out” Diana said yes, but I guess it didn’t work since he seemed surprised but I didn’t ask anything “so now what?” I asked they look at each other “wait!” I say they look at me now “how do I know I can trust you, I mean so far you hate me” I say looking at Eloy’s dad.

He thought for a moment and then said “my name is Nick” I smiled “that proves nothing” he sighed in frustration “well how I’m sure that I can trust YOU” he said I laughed and got up “far enough” I say patting my skinny jeans “so were you guys talking about?” I hope by crossing my arms around my chest made my look older somehow. Again they looked at each other and Eloy finally said “we were talking about you staying here and living with me” he blushed at the end part “I can’t stay here, I’ll bring danger to Briana and Mike that’s what I told you” then I added “they’re still looking for me, I can’t hid for the rest of my life, that would be boring”.

“They don’t have to know” Nick said “but they will find out, If I stay here too long they will come and use someone as a hostage” I tell them “just stay a few days, so that when you HAVE to leave you won’t get the pain” Eloy said I look at him “stay! We have to get the spell so you won’t have the pain” I looked at the floor and said “fine then, but we need to do the spell ASAP” they nodded. I can’t believe I’m staying but I had to get the spell to leave and go somewhere “we don’t have any extra rooms, so you’ll have to share a room with Eloy” Nick said “oh right, very funny what you did their” rolling my eyes “but at least Eloy was right about you, you are nice after people get to know you” I thanked him and Eloy grabbed my hand and let me through the door I tried to let go of his hand but Eloy didn’t let me “you’ll get lost with your eyes closed” at first I didn’t know what he meant until I saw the dead animal head on the walls “I forgot about them” I said as I closed my eyes and tightened the grip of our hands pressing together.

We walk for a while which doesn’t surprise me, because it is a big mansion. Finally I hear a door open and I open my eyes to see myself enter a big room with a fading green color, a huge bed with sheets that were purple and blue (it was still messy from this morning), I saw another door that probably led to the bathroom, there was a drawer next to the door, and in one side of the room there were interments.

There were drums, a piano, a microphone, a bass, and a guitar, he even had an amp!

I ran towards the interments forgetting that I’m still holding Eloy’s hand and he tripped, making me trip with him. We land with a great thud on the floor we landed on each other sides I let go of Eloy’s hand to feel my head. Of course I was bleeding “don’t worry, you’ll heal up quickly” Diana said “do you usually do things without thinking?” he was smart enough to cover his head with his arm he makes me look like an idiot I thought to myself “aw, now look at what you’ve done your bleeding” he came and kneeled in front of him “don’t worry about it, I heal fast and this is nothing to my injured back” I say getting up “you make it sound like it’s a good thing” he chuckled “I was just excited to see the guitar and the piano”.

“You play?” he asked

“Yup! I haven’t played in long while”

“Then play one of them”
