The Dome

The Battle

   Everyone was sleeping. The majority of the group was inside the castle, but not Thomas. He fell asleep at the top of the front wall, resting right between two small pillars. He snored lightly. The night was quiet and calm.
   Moments passed before a bright light awoken him. Thomas rubbed his eyes and groaned.
"The hell?" his voice was scratchy.
"It's not even morning.."
   He continued to rub his eyes before noticing the large phoenix in the sky. Thomas starred for a moment in amazement before throwing a rock towards the alarm bell. The rock was thrown so hard that it cracked the bell.
"GUYS!" he screamed out.
"WE GOT COMPANY!"
   The bell triggered a circuit of other bells to chime. The loud ringing awoken everyone and sent them out into the courtyard, safety behind the walls.
"W-what is it Thomas?" Rona asked.
"Yeah i was trying to sleep." Greer added in.
"Me too!" everyone shouted simultaneously.
   The group then looked into the air and saw the blazing phoenix. It's eyes were blazing with a orange tone. It's tail was split into multiple bands, all floating weightlessly. The group stood still in slight fear.
"NOW CLUCKS!" a random voice shouted.
   Thomas turned and noticed Edan, Grievous and their whole army behind them. He scanned the crowd and noticed both Rachael and Morgan. His eyes widened and Edan smirked.
"You may want to watch this buddy."
   The Phoenix spun in the air and the flaming aura around it spiraled into its mouth. It rose up high and spread open its wings. It opened its mouth and a large beam of fire blasted down towards the group. Hunter noticed and pulled out water from his satchel, creating a barrier around them. The blazing heat surrounded the barrier and began boiling the water. Hunter held the water in place for moments before his power grew weaker.
"I-i can't hold this any longer.." He muttered.
   Ayden looked around and saw the look of fear in everyone's faces. He whistled and stood still, looking upward.
   Mr.Whiskers roared and swooped downward, chomping the phoenix right in the throat. The two crashed onto the inner wall, cracking it. Whiskers flew upward a bit and slammed his tail down right on the bird, injuring it severely.
"Sigh...Clucks come back." Edan called out. The Phoenix then changed into a more spiritual form where it's body was just flames. The bird flew out and went to his side, healing himself.
   Hunter brought back his water and fell onto his knees, breathing deeply.
Madison and Greer went to his side, helping him up.
   Edan smirked at Sir Clucks and looked back over at Thomas.
"Listen buddy. It's either you leave this place or" he bit his lip "we make you."
   Thomas' eyebrows perked up as he grinned.
"And what makes you think that we'll give it up? Just cause you got out friends and some little monsters behind your back? Oh and not to mention that hideous dog beast thing." Thomas waved his finger pointing at Grievous.
"Hm...you don't think this is enough?"
"Oh please, I could take you all on single handedly." Thomas threatened.
"Is that so?"
   Morgan rose her hands and a large vine jetted out the ground, wrapping around Thomas and pulling him down. Gil and Zach quickly appeared atop from where Thomas was standing. The two looked out at the large army and smirked.
"Easy pickings." Zach told Gil.
"Damn right...they won't even see it coming." He responded.
   Edan looked up from Thomas' entanglement and smirked at the two.
"Vipers. Get those two."
   Two slim creatures emerged from the crowd. They both began to vibrate rapidly, catching the eyes of the two. Gil and Zach looked at each other.
"Run."
   The two disappeared in a flashed along with the Vipers. Rona, Greer and Cathrine all walked up to the gate to look out at the army.
"Is that...?" Greer tilted her head.
"Edna..." Cathrine stood still for a moment before realizing what she had said. "Erm..i mean Edan."
"Single handedly? I'd love to see you try."
   Thomas was released from the vines and arose up. He clenched his fists and took stance, holding his ground.
"CMON. THROW SOMETHING AT ME!"
"As you wish.."
   A large cyclops with a wooden club emerged from the crowd, making way towards him. Thomas watched and smirked. The beast began to run and swung at the boy. Thomas ducked and uppercutted right between the beasts legs. It roared and slammed the club back down on Thomas' back. Cathrine flinched and gripped the bars of the gate.
"CMON THOMAS!" The three yelled.
   The boy fell onto the ground and groaned. The cyclops then after recovering, stomped right on his back. It held him down and drew its club, aiming at his head like a golf ball. Greer's eyes widened and she reacted quickly. She transformed into her Tigris state then scaled the wall. She jumped down and sunk her teeth deep into the beast's eye. She then tackled it down and released Thomas from its grasp. He tore away at the eye before running to the boy's side. Blood dripped down from her mouth. Edan grew interested and impatient.
"You know what...screw it." He rose his staff and it shone. Spirits flew around inside the small ball at the tip of the staff. "ATTACK!" He yelled.
   Grievous sprung to action and rose into the air. His large tendrils jetted out from his back as he roared. The crowd shouted along with him and charged the castle. Greer bit Thomas by his shoulder and brought him back into the safety of the Castle.
"TAKE COVER!" Ayden yelled. Rona and Cathrine ran back away from the gate and hid behind some structures inside the courtyard. Everyone hid and braced.
   Grievous sent his tendrils down into the wall. They all clung on like a harpoon. It turned and went to pull before Zeus struck him. A large blast of air sent Grievous down onto the ground, creating a crater in the ground. The tendrils pulled off and sent the wall crumbling. Grievous roared and recovered. Both Zeus and Grievous wrestled along the plains.
"NOW MIKAYLA!" Edan shouted.
   A large army of skeletons came visible to the group. They all stood around the castle and charged in along with the monsters. The figure smirked and flew beside Edan.
"You know you haven't called me that in a while."
"I am aware but no matter. You weren't important to me until now." Edan assured. Mikayla rolled her eyes and watched as their army entered the Castle.
   Rona hid behind a small stone wall along with the rest of the group. She grew worried not for herself but for Butterscotch. Her breathe grew deep and heavy. Madison rubbed her shoulder and comforted her.
"W-what do we do?" Rona shook.
"Half of us don't even have physical powers..." she turned and looked at everyone. Holly, Greer and Cathrine took a deep breath. Ruthie rubbed her shoulder and sat still.
"Give me my blade." Holly demanded. Rona looked over at her and nodded slowly. "O-okay.."
   Rona tossed Holly her machete and her blood rushed through her system. Her veins popped out and eyes shrouded with blood. She scaled the small wall, Cathrine and Greer following behind. The monsters roared at the three and charged. A large swarm of Bat like creatures swooped down at them. Without even looking, Cathrine pushed her hand outward and sent out a blast of air, sending the bats out of control. Their wings flew back causing all of them to collapse onto the ground. The three continued to walk. A large bear roared and charged towards Greer as she seemed like an easy target.
"Oh hell yeah." She smirked and ran forward towards it. She changed into her Tigris form and roared. The bear got up before they came into contact. It grabbed her by the neck and threw her onto the ground. It roared in her face and revealed its large teeth. Greer whimpered and jumped upward, bitting the bears tongue. She then ripped it off and spit it down, leaving the beast on the ground in pain. Greer went to go finish off the bear before it's cubs stood in front of it. The four cubs growled and they all had gems on their heads. They all shone and the four each gained large spikes on their backs like a porcupine. They all stood their ground in front of their mother. Greer grew hungry and rushed towards them all. She roared before attacking her free supper.
   Holly was met with a tall, bulky beast. The creature starred down at Holly and watched as she walked. Holly rose her machete and slashed straight through the beasts legs. It crashed down onto the ground and she jammed the blade deep into its skull. She then pulled the blade out and continued to her next target. A large spider came next, crawling towards her. It squealed and shot out acid covered webs around her. The web trapped Holly down on the ground and began melting her skin and clothes. Unaffected, she slashed the web open and rose up. Her cheek was melted into just blood and flesh. She walked towards the spider and grabbed its head. She jammed the Machete down onto its head and held it down on the ground. Holly then saddled onto its back, pulling each of its legs off one by one. The spider whimpered and soon bled out. Holly then retrieved her blade and continued on with her slaughter fest.
   Rona, Madison and Ruthie hid behind the wall and watched as the three began clearing up the courtyard. Bones rolled behind them and the three watched. The whole ground was soon riddled with bones. The three shook a bit before the bones then came together. The Undead army surrounded the three and laughed. Ruthie watched in fear as they drew closer.
   A vision struck Rona's mind. She pictured Ruthie attacking all of the Skeletons. She then came back into reality and looked at Ruthie quickly.
"RUTHIE YOU CAN DO THIS...TRUST ME!" She screamed.
"M-me?? But i have no physical power i can't kill them!"
"But you're dead! You can kill them because you can enter the ghost state. Ghosts can hurt other ghosts." she stated. Ruthie shook in her spot for a moment before nodding. She vanished and the flag above the two girls drifted in the wind. The skeletons laughed and all began disassembling. Their bones fell onto the ground and Ruthie came back to the group. She smiled and reappeared.
"All clear!" she cheered.
   The bones began coming back and forming once more. The skeletons laughed more and watched as they all shook in fear.
"N-not yet.." Madison's voice cracked.
"MUAHAHAH" One of the soldiers laughed. They drew their swords and began running.
"HELP!" Rona yelped, catching the attention of her best friend. Cathrine came running and looked around at the bone army. The closed her eyes and held her hands together. The air around her grew thin and hard to breathe in. Cathrine then stomped on the ground and sent all of the Skeletons crumbling and soaring through the sky.
The sonic boom caused everyone to go def for a brief moment. The bones soared through the sky before coming together once more. They formed a large Dragon and roared. The boned beast spread its wings and was shrouded in a dark aura. Mikayla noticed and smirked.
"Good ol' Sheppard. Missed you buddy." She blew a kiss towards it.
   Sheppard came back soaring towards the girls. Cathrine was out of breath and collapsed down onto the ground. Rona and Madison braced for impact as the beast flew fast. Just before accepting their deaths, Butterscotch stood in the center of the girls. Her bell chimed and provided a light barrier around them. Sheppard came in fast and crashed into the barrier. The impact shattered the bones of the beast and caused it to explode. The explosion sent out a small shockwave effecting only the ground. The bones crumbled and fell onto the ground. Rona peeked her eyes open and noticed her beloved pet. She screamed and hugged Butterscotch tightly, Madison did as well. Ruthie reappeared and smiled at her.
"THANK YOU SO MUCH BABY GIRL." Rona began to cry into her doe's fur. Butterscotch excitingly jumped and wagged her tail.
   Thomas and Ayden were battling it out deep in the crowd. Ayden swung his great-sword, slashing the flesh of different creatures. Thomas was going berserk as his fists began to bleed. He beat down every monster that came his way no matter their size. A horse-sized scorpion rushed over to him and went to stab him. Thomas reacted quick and grabbed its tail. He smirked and slammed it back and forth on the ground. He yelled and the ground rumbled slightly.
"OH HELL YEAH!" he yelled as he went on. The tail soon broke off and the Scorpion was nothing but a puddle of guts, blood and limbs. Thomas laughed and screamed out. Ayden came in contact with a minotaur, it wielding a spear. The beast roared and Ayden took his stance. He then smirked.
"Silly little beast" he then said as he tapped his watch. Time froze and Ayden began to saddle the beast.
"You know you should never mess with time masters. It's pretty dangerous to be quite honest with you considering that oh i don't know.." Ayden took his sword and held it at the minotaurs neck "I can control time itself and everything.." He then gracefully slit its neck. Ayden then got off and tapped his watch once more. The beast collapsed instantly as time resumed, spilling out blood on the ground. He smirked and looked over at Thomas.
"Yo did you see that? I just completely killed-" He stopped and realized Thomas wasn't listening. He was off beating down a group of wolves.
"CMON WIMPS!" He yelled.
   Thomas punched and kicked them all except the alpha. Ayden watched and paid close attention to the alpha. Thomas was enjoying the moment before the alpha decided to attack. It jumped out and just before it sunk its teeth deep in Thomas' skull, time froze. Ayden ran over with his sword and slashed down the wolf's neck. It cleanly sliced through. He then grabbed the head and placed it down along with the body. Time resumed and Thomas continued his beat downs.
"Jeez Thomas you gotta be more careful."
"Oh shut up i'm having a blast." Thomas told him as he punched a creatures skull in. 
   Whiskers and Greer ran through the crowd, each picking away at them. Holly just walked and brutally slaughtered anything that came close to her. Ruthie and Cathrine joined the fight, both of them taking on single beasts together. Hunter made the water in his satchel into small water shurikens and a blade. He swiftly ran along the outskirts and picked off as many beasts as he could.
   Gil and Zach ran off into the haunted forest. Zach became as blur as his speed was impeccable. Gil teleported along the treetops, keeping up with Zach. The Vipers speed matched that of Zach's. They ran on each side of him and threw bullet punches to him. Zach dodged each of them with quick succession.
"G-GIL HELP OUT MAN!" he called out. Gil phased down on the ground and threw his fist outward. Zach and the Vipers were already far gone after he through the punch. Gil stood still and sighed.
"God damnit." He rolled his eyes. Gil then began teleporting back to his partner. Zach stopped on a dime and swung his arms outward. Each of the Vipers crashed into his arms and collapsed down on the ground. Gil appeared just beside Zach and looked down at him.
"Thanks for the help." Zach stated with sarcasm.
"Oh shut up i'm here now" Gil punched his arm.
   The vipers disappeared and reappeared behind the two. The both stuck at their necks, sending the boys on the ground. Both landing in mud, Zach and Gil grew angry.
"Let's just kill these fools."
   Zach's eyes sparked with electricity and he vanished in a flashed. Gil disappeared from where he laid. The beasts stood still and waited for them to reveal themselves. Zach traveled to one end of the dome and began to grind his foot down on the ground. Electricity flowed through his body and his legs let out a shockwave as he propelled forward. He rose his fist and screamed.
"LIGHTNING PUNCH!"
   Zach turned into just a blur, causing trees to fall. A large path followed him as he ran through the forest. Zach then, in a second, came back to the the Vipers. His fist came into contact with one of their heads, sending it soaring in the air. The body fell onto its knees and fell onto the ground. Zach stopped on the spot and smirked.
"Hey Gil!" he laughed. "Do i need to kill.."
   The Viper screeched and it's body expanded. Zach's eyebrow rose as he watched. The Viper then exploded into tiny pieces. Gil then replaced where it stood, as he phased into it. Zach jumped and screamed.
"GIL WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO? YOU JUST..."
"What? I just phased into him." Gil laughed. Zach stood speechless before shrugging it off.
"Let's just go back...the group needs us."
"Agreed...ILL BEAT YOU THERE!" Gil stated before disappearing. Zach smirked.
"BET!" 
   Zach picked up some dirt and brushed his hands. He then jolted out through the forests.
   Edan sat and watched as Grievous and Zeus fought.
   Zeus rose into the air and grabbed Grievous' wings. He roared right into his chest sending him soaring down to the ground. Grievous' tendrils hooked onto Zeus' wings and pulled him down along with him. Zeus helplessly crashed into the ground and groaned. Grievous slowly got up and roared. He moved over Zeus and dug his claws straight through his armored back. Zeus roared in agony into the sky, echoing through the sky.
"THATS MY BOY!" Edan laughed and cheered.
"FINISH HIM!"
   Grievous' tendrils rose into the air and took aim at his head. Zeus laid helplessly on the ground and whimpered. Catching Cathrine's attention, tears broke out.
"ZEUS" she shouted.
   Grievous roared and his tendrils drilled into Zeus' skull. Zeus roared through the pain before he was finally silenced. His tail and wings fell down onto the ground lifelessly. The battle stopped as they all watched Zeus' fall. Cathrine broke down and cried. Rona ran over and tried calming her down but she couldn't move. Anger built up in Cathrine's body. She rose into the air in a large sphere of air. Her eyes opened and revealed them to be pure white. Her hair levitated up into the air and the sphere of air grew larger. The group took cover and hid, Rona sighing.
"Never...mess with my best friends pet.." she whispered to herself.
   Cathrine drew her hands outward and tornados crashed onto the ground. They spun around all of the monsters and sent them flying in all directions. Everyone gripped onto something and held on for dear life. Mikayla and Edan watched as she grew unstoppable.
"Go get her Blaze." Edan demanded.
   Rachael came out from the darkness and soared up in the air. Cathrine looked up at Rachael and breathed hard. Rachael's body was shrouded in flames and her eyes were blazing with fire. The two stared at one another before attacking. The two caused tornados and volcanoes to emerge. The ground became deadly for anyone. Lava spewed out and some monsters burnt alive. The tornados came in contact with them and caught on fire, causing a spiral of flames. The deadly Fire-nados traveled along the ground. Rachael and Cathrine yelled as they threw everything they have at eachother. Cathrine flew towards her and punched her. After the punch she clenched his fist, causing the air around Rachael to become unbreathable. Rachael's flames simmered and she choked. Cathrine watched as she ran out of breath.
"YOU KILLED MY DRAGON. SO ILL KILL HER." She yelled down at Edan. The group ran into the castle for protection and watched in horror.
"CATHRINE STOP!" Rona yelled out.
"STOP IT CATHRINE YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HER!" Madison shouted.
   Cathrine ignored the two and continued to suffocate her. Gil and Zach arrived moments later and noticed the horrific scene. Zach looked around at all the Fire-nados.
"You handle those. I'll take care of Cathrine alright?" Gil told Zach. Zach obeyed and began running around them, canceling out their wind direction. Gil phased out and reappeared behind Cathrine. He levitated in the sphere of air with her.
"CATHRINE STOP THIS NONSENSE!" Gil demanded. Cathrine turned back at looked at him.
"THEY KILLED ZEUS SO I HAVE TO KILL ONE OF THEIRS."
   Gil's heart broke a little and his voice became scratchy.
"B-but that doesn't mean you should kill one of our friends. That's Rachael you're choking right now." he pointed. "She doesn't know what she's doing okay just let her go.."
"OR ELSE WHAT?"
"Well unless you want to be known as a murderer." 
   Cathrine released Rachael from her control and sent her flying down. Cathrine moved and faced Gil.
"SO WHAT? ALL OF OUR FRIENDS ARE JUST SLAUGHTERING ALL OF THESE MONSTERS. HELL, HOLLY'S A MURDERER HERSELF!" Cathrine yelled back.
"Yes i'm aware of that but that's not who you are Cathrine. You don't kill and the both of us know that for a fact."
   Cathrine's hair dropped down and her eyes became their normal color. The sphere of air bursted and Gil soared down to the ground. He quickly phased and reappeared on the ground. Cathrine slowly descended down and sat on the floor, bawling her eyes out. Morgan rode in with her Unicorn and noticed Cathrine crying. She watched and her eyes slowly turned normal. She looked down at her Unicorn she sat on and rose her hands. Vines wrapped around it and held it down on the ground as she got off. Morgan began to run to her side and hugged her tightly from behind. Gil watched. Zach cleared up all of the Fire-nados and came beside Gil.
"All good?"
"Yeah..I think." Gil replied.
   The group came out from the Castle and they all hugged Cathrine.
   Rachael fell into the ground and groaned. She opened her eyes slowly and they were no longer red. She got up slowly from the crater and looked around. She caught hunter's attention and he ran over. He helped her up and looked into her eyes.
"You alright?" he asked.
"What...what happened and how did i get here?" she rubbed her head. Hunter brought Rachael to the rest of the group and sat her down. Cathrine crawled over and hugged her tightly.
"I-i'm so sorry Rachael." Cathrine muttered.
"Sorry for what? I just have this really bad headache..." Rachael hugged back and rested her head on Cathrine's shoulder.
   Edan and Mikayla watched from outside the Castle and sighed.
"Look how pathetic they look. Weeping over a stupid dragon." Edan smirked.
   Mikayla watched and her eyes teared up a bit. She bit her tongue and looked over at Zeus' body. Grief crept through her body and she grabbed a blade in her robe. She hesitated and released the blade.
   Cathrine and Rachael soon after got up and stood alongside the group. Edan walked over and clapped his hands. He laughed and Grievous flew overhead.
"Congratulations...you defeated our army. Feel accomplished?"
   Mikayla followed along behind him quietly.
"You killed my damn Dragon." Cathrine clenched her hands.
"Oh please you think I care? Stupid thing didn't deserve to live anyway."
   Cathrine went to attack him before everyone grabbed her. Edan laughed and whistled. The Pheonix rose over head beside Grievous and watched down at the group. Morgan looked at it and starred. Her heart skipped a beat and she yelled out.
"SIR CLUCKS!" she screamed. "SIR CLUCKS ITS YOU!"
   The Phoenix remained in the air and starred down at the girl. His eyes simmered slightly but not too much. Morgan looked over at Edan.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BABY!?"
   Edan smirked and looked up.
"Oh him? I just tweaked him a bit."
   The Phoenix remained silent and blazing.
"Anyway...which one of you wants to die first? Gotta make a sacrifice."
   The group stood silently and Morgan kept a steady eye on the Phoenix. She whistled and Sir Clucks came back to his senses, flying off. Edan looked up and shrugged.
"Wasn't helpful anyway."
   Moments passed and Sir Clucks soared back. Like a bullet, he jetted straight through Grievous' body.  He struck right at his heart, instantly killing him. Grievous fell down onto the ground and his body flopped like jelly. Edan's eyes changed from red back to their normal color. He gasped for air and fell down onto the ground unconscious.
