Humans regard fantasy as a subject of childishness, claiming it as something only treasured by those who still want to hold on to their childish thoughts, who refuse to advance onto maturity.

But, what if these thoughts of fantasy were not so far fetched? What if there existed a world where fairies live together in tribes just as humans?

In this world, those aren't a 'what if.' It is an 'is.'

A father would often do most anything for his daughter. In this case, there was a king with a daughter who was highly odd. The other girls would laugh at his daughter and not want to be friends with her because of her imagination. The princess dreamed of small humans that could fly and be magical. So, in effort to give her princess friends, the king met with a witch.

This witch promised to invent these creatures just as the king had requested but warned that the greed of humans could change what he wanted. Scoffing and assuming the witch was a mad lady, the king continued on with his witch. And so, fairies were made. Each type had been made from a different material, though there was one that did not last- the single petal of a rose faded to black, making a type of fairy that was only to be a shadow of the rest.

So, as these fairies began to roam the earth, the witch's warnings became true. Kings and queens enslaved these races to use them to their advantages, selling and using them for power. So, the fairies decided to try and escape what they could to a forest. However, in an effort, a majority were slaughtered, but five leaders of the different types of fairies made it out. There, they each began their new kingdom of the Fae, hoping to start a new chapter without humans.

And this is where their new lives begin.

Though... darkness does like to seep its way into things.
