What if I said that my mom was a magical girl and my dad was a fairy.
I would proably fart sprinkles and barf rainbows while riding unicorns. Oh what fun that would be.
"ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME LEAH?" Her voice sputtered from the phone.
I winced and rubbed my ears, "Yes mom I hear you,"
"GET YOU A MAN THAT BOWS AT YOUR FEET DEAR."
This time I knew better than to keep the phone close to my ear, "Alright Mom, I understand Mom."
She coughed a little, and her voice went back to normal, "Just like how I got your Dad,"
For sure, I can gaurantee that. My dad did indeed take care of my mother well. I had walked in on them many more times then i'd like to admit.
It's a wonder how I'm still an only child.
In the background I could hear my dad's voice, "what is it dear?"
"We were just talking about you, " she giggled.
I could hear some very, uh, graphic noises so I dealt the escape card, "Sooooo, bye mom, i'll see you soon!"
I was hoping for a bye, but instead got many muffled intelligible sounds, so I hung up.
I rubbed at my eyes and peeked over towards my couch. Spotting Taytay, I saw her roll onto her side, phone in hand.
She looked up to see me leaning into her shoulder to see the contact information.
Leon-it read, who's that.
I thought of the pretty boy Jacob upstairs and my OTP. No. I will not let my ship sink. No one messes with my ships. I am the captain, and I FALL with my ship.
"Gurl, who the fudge is Leon?" I shot her an accusing glare.
"My math buddy, chill." She gave me a 'what's your problem' look.
Are you serious? "But what about ma boi Jacob?"
"What about him?"
"You don't even text, why-"
"Drop it, lets just study okay? That's what I came here to do," she sighed.
Well, looks like someone is in some real need of icecream.
"I would offer you icecream- just so you stop that scrunched up eyebrow thing, but too bad, too sad, I ran out."
She relaxed her eyebrows immediately and bit her lip, opening her arms wide for a hug.
"This is what came for right? Pft studying. We can do that anytime." I stroked her hair.
I stood there in front of the couch for a ridiculously long time, and started aimlessly making pigtails for her.
Later, she released me and sighed, "Lets get that studying done now,"
I gave her a smile, "Alright,"

I streched my ache-y limbs that had been in the same position for the last 2 hours. Essay done, reading done, materials ready.
Checking on TayTay's progress, I glanced over, and saw her passed out on the couch.
Sigh. Let's just leave her there.
On second thought.
Where are my markers...
The sound of my soft doorbell made me look up from my cluttered desk.
Who visits people at- I looked at my phone- 4pm? That's honestly such a weird hour.
I attempted to look through the peephole, but had to stand on my tippy-toes. The very blue eyes of a Jacob was what I noticed first. He seemed to be holding a letter, my reply?
I opened the door for him, snd he gave me a smile, "Hey, I was instructed to give this to you," he passed me origami flower made of lined paper. Wow, that's creative. I took it it my hands gingerly.
"Hi... from who is this creation from?" I tried to sound like Mr.Posh okay? I tried.
He gave me a wtf look, but told me it was from Ruth. We made some small talk, and I had offered him a cookie, a token of our friendship. I only give cookies to people I like, he's the first to get it the second day.
"Im alergic to chocolate, sorry; its the thought that counts right?"
"Are you being racist to cookies? I never said it was chocolate! Its vanilla for fudge sake!" I pouted.
Should I even give him one?
I was beginning to rethink giving him a cookie. These were my babys okay? I made them, and he was being rude. Just flat out rude.
"How ironic, but I'm sorry for offending you," he rolled his eyes at me and smiled jokingly.
"You are forgiven." I gave him a quick nod, and went to fetch his cookie. As I wrapped the cookie around a napkin, I thought of a wonderful idea.
Man am I getting a lot of those lately.
"So, I have a favor to ask of you," I gave him a charming grin, and his smile fell a little. "Can you carry TayTay over to her room?"
"I mean, sure. I guess." He looked confused, as to why I would ask him.
Opening the door wider, I let him in and went to gather her stuff from all around the table.
"Why dont you just leave her here?"
"She's going to have a hard time sleeping and all," I piinted up towards his room. He made an o with his mouth.
"Where's her room?"
"Next door,"
"Woah, so you are both my neighbors?"
"Yup."
After swiping up her keys and backback, I motioned for him to pick her up, bridal style of course.
He did so easily, but she stirred a little and we both froze.
We stared at her intently, watching to make sure she was still asleep. Much to my surprise, she curled in towards his chest and gave out a content sigh.
A smiled a little at her relaxed state, it was as if his presence calmed her.
I fumbled purposefully with her keys, and heard a silent cry from her.
Jacob looked alarmed, and glanced at me for answers. I was feeling the same as him. Why was she crying?
I jabbed the key in the hole and opend the door, ushering him in.
He set her on the couch, and put her down gently. She was awake now.
He squatted down to Taytay's eyelevel, "What's wrong?"
She was a snifing mess, and instead of answering, wrapped her arms around his neck and bawled. He hesitantly returned the hug.
He looked at me for help, and I went over to my best friend, offering my arms instead. She shook her head and her grip tightened around Jacob.
Taylor passed out after an hour of crying. Jacob was very patient with her and told us he had to go leave for work.
I didn't reply to the letter that night.
