I ran my fingers through my hair pulling it up into a ponytail.  I looked in the mirror one last time to make sure everything was on point. Then I grabbed my bag and left out to the bus stop. My friend Cher was waiting just like usual in the same spot as it's been since we first met. Once she saw me coming around the corner she had a smile on her face. When I finally made it to our spot her mouth went zero to eighty within just seconds. " There's this party going on this weekend you going?" She asked quickly. I looked at her kind of confused. " You know silly the biggest party of the year." I just nodded slightly and agreed to go with her. The bus ran a little later than usual, so we got to school just a tab late. I parted with her in the hall going our separate ways till lunch. The teacher looked up from her book with vulture eyes as I opened the door. She yelled depending a reason for my tardiness. " Just call the office." I snapped quickly back at her. Mad she was I could see it in her eyes, but she knew she couldn't do much. I took my seat in the middle like usual and pulled out the boring book she has us reading. After a while of sitting there the door open and the principal stepped in with a tall handsome looking boy. He's not from here I thought I would have know him at least. I watched as they exchanged words quietly, but the boy didn't say a word. The teacher pointed him towards the back of the room. " Take a seat." He grabbed the strap of his bag tightly and walked past me to the seat in the next row. Now that he was a little closer I could see more of his face. His eyes could pierce the very soul with their icy blueness. He looked up from his desk meeting my eyes for a brief moment. I turned my head quickly back into the book hoping he hadn't noticed me staring for so long. Who was he? Why did he come here? What was his name? The questions rambled through my mind until the bell rang startling me. I grabbed the book shutting and left the room quickly. I went to my locker putting my things away to go to my next hour. I saw Cher in the corner and shut my locker running over to her. "Have you seen the new guy?" I asked quickly. She just shook her head softly. I went off to next hour. I sat there quietly thinking about every little thing trying not to think of him. Why was I thinking like this? Why was he so different? I just couldn't silence my curiosity.
