Prologue

With the sun high in the sky the little lion cub pounced on a beetle squealing in delight.  The  parents sat beaming from afar at their little lioness's talent. A strange rustle in the tall grass causes the father to prick his ears . He sniffed the air and growled "We better go." The mother nods and reaches for her cub. They start to pad away when they here it. The clink of metal and the sound of their funny gait as they "stalk" their prey. Then they see  them, aiming there guns at their next victims... them. The family breaks out into a run the mother carrying her cub in her jaws. But they don't run fast  enough first down is the father. Thinking fast the  mother shoves her daughter under a dense bush and keeps running to draw the hunters away. The last thing she sees is the barrel of the gun as it shoots her dead.

Night falls and the cub wriggles out of the bush and not knowing what else to do starts to run eventually running into  Nana the oldest lioness in her pride. Nana takes one look at the cub and says "Oh Sakara, what happened? "
