Pool

I woke up with a huge grin on my face. Last night was perfect. I slowly got off the bed and headed to the bathroom for my morning routine. After I was done, I got back to check the time.

It was still pretty early, but I had so much energy. I decided to go visit Avi at the pool bar. I put my swimming suit on, just in case I felt like getting in the pool; it was a very hot day, anyway.

When I arrived at the bar, Avi wasn't there. Instead, I got greeted by another bartender. He was quite cute, tanned and with warm chocolate-brown eyes.

"Goodmorning.", I said to the guy.

"Goodmorning. How can I help you?", he flashed me a smile.

"Oh, I just came to see Avi, but I see he's not here."

"Yeah, he's got the day off today, I think he's with Kevin. I'm Shawn, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, Shawn. I'm Mitch."

"I guess I'll see you around then, Mitch.", Shawn said, smiling at me.

Since Avi wasn't there, I headed over to the pool. I needed some vitamin D, to be honest. I laid down in one of the couches, after taking my clothes off and putting my sunglasses on. I was really enjoying the sun and the silence, when I heard someone calling my name.

"Mitch!" I got up and looked at the person who was calling me.

"Hey, Alex!" He was already in the water and he was swimming towards my side of the pool. He got out and walked to me.

I couldn't help but stare at him. The way his muscles flexed with every move, made me practically drool.

"I was hoping to see you here! You see, I bearly know anyone else on this boat, apart from my parents."

"I didn't know you were here with your parents.", I said.

"Well, we are on the boat together, but we don't hang out during the stops. We don't even share the same room here." , he replied.

"I see. So...how's the water?", I asked him, unable to find anything interesting to say."

"Why don't you find out yourself?", he asked, taking my hand and dragging me to the pool.

"Uhm, Alex... I'm not sure if that's a good idea. I'm not the best swimmer.", I said. Also, I didn't want to make a fool of myself in front of him.

"Come on, Mitchy! It will be fun."

"Alex, please...I don't want to.", I begged.

"I'll take care of you! Don't worry, just take my hand and-"

"He said he doesn't want to get in the pool, so you better let go off him before I make you." I heard a deep familiar voice behind me. I immediately turned around to see an angry -but cute- Scott.

"You won't tell him what to do. You're not his dad!", Alex yelled.

"Alex, stop yelling at Scott!", I said. "Also, I told you I didn't wanna go into the pool.", I added blushing.

"Okay, then. I'm sorry if I forced you."

"It's ok, Alex. I guess I'll see you around." I started walking towards Scott when Alex grabbed my wrist to stop me.

"Mitch, wait. Would you like to come to my room tonight? We can watch a movie and have dinner together.", Alex offered.

"I'd love to.", I said. "I guess I'll see you tonight, then."

"Yeah, see you at around 21:00. Can't wait." I walked back to Scott, who was still red from anger.

"Did that asshole touch you? Did he hurt you?", he asked while clenching his teeth.

"Of course not! Alex would never hurt me, Scott. He also invited us to his room tonight.", I told him.

"Us? I don't think he mentioned my name throughout your conversation."

"Well, you're coming anyway. I just invited you."

"And what if I don't wanna come with you?", he asked sassily.

"Then don't!", I almost screamed back.  "We can have fun with or without you, Scott. Just because you don't like Alex, doesn't mean that I don't either!"

"Well- what? You...You like Alex? B-but he's not good for you!", Scott said. Well, I didn't mean I liked Alex that way. But Scott's reaction got me mad; why is he so overprotective?

"I didn't ask your opinion, Scott. And now excuse me, I wanna go visit Avi."

And with that I left.
