Part 1:

Elsa:

"Elsa?" Anna squeaked from behind the door like she did every day. I sighed and curled up closer to the little windowsill, gazing out at the snow.

"Go away, Anna!" I shouted. Frost began to spread across the glass window.

*flashback*

"Elsa?"

"Come find me, Jack!" I yelled from my hiding spot in a near by tree.

Jack looked around and began walking away. I scrambled down the tree and ran towards the frozen lake. My brown hair flying behind me in its braid.

I put one foot on the ice and shifted my weight. Walking out further onto the lake I heard Jack yell from behind me.

"Elsa! What are you-"

There was a loud crack and I felt myself fall into the freezing water. I kicked and gasped for air but it felt as if something pulled me down to the bottom. As I sank I saw the outline of my best friend, Jack, jump into the fringed water.

I remember seeing his head hit against a piece of ice and his eyes roll back.

That was the last thing I remember of Jack. We were both pulled out of the water barely alive. Our hair turned white, our lips a deep blue and our skin pale and cold. I was brought back to the kingdom where I was forbidden to ever leave and Jack was cast off to fend for himself.

Soon after the accident I discovered I had powers that enabled me to create snow and ice out of nothing. My parents blame Jack for what happened even though it was my fault. They blamed him for the snow flurries that would dust my room whenever I got sad.

They blamed him for my powers.

*end*

My little sister Anna hummed from the opposite side of the door. She was born after I fell through the ice. My parents thought it was best to keep my powers a secret from the world. So I shut myself in my room all day and night. I spend most of that time thinking about Jack.

"Is Jack with you?" Anna asked. In her tiny mind Jack is a made up character I created to get attention. Whenever she would ask a stupid question I would answer with 'shut up Anna! Leave me alone' then she would go back to singing her stupid song.

Over the years I learned to block Jack from my mind. The only way to forget is to make myself believe that he was dead. Over time it stuck in my mind and I truly believed that my best friend was dead.

As the days grew between that day and now the pain hurt less.

I sat on the edge of the bed pulling a brush through my dolls hair. I held it tight in my grasp and it's china face got cold and eventually cracked. I threw the doll across the room at the window. A shadow darted past the frosty glass of the window. It scared me and I opened the window to see nothing but snow.

*years later*

Anna and I were practically adults now and she still knocked on the other end of the door. This time she was crying.

"We only have each other, it's just you and me. What are we going to do? Do you want to build a snowman?" She asked in between sobs. I slid my back down the wooden door and looked at the picture of our now dead parents on the wall.

"Of corse I want to build a snowman" I said under my breath so she couldn't hear me. A gust of wind blew in through the open window. I didn't bother shutting it and just slid under the covers and cried myself to sleep.

Some time during the night I woke up. My eyes were scratchy and dry but I saw someone standing over me. His icy eyes stared into mine. His white hair brushed over his eyes slightly.
