It was a dark midnight. The Moon shined vast and lumionus. The crikets and other insects sang their wonderful night-time melody as they would every night. Deep into the forest lived a fox. A fox who was an animal that loved to question all exsistance.

Elanor opened her eyes and crawled out of her burrough. As she proceeded to stretch, she let out a vast yawn with a tired yet awake expression on her face. She scratched her ear, gave her tail a shake and she went on her way. Arriving towards the river, only a short trip away, the fox came upon her friends. "Ah. There you are, dear fox." Said Edward, the rabbit. Edward was a nice and plump rabbit with a black circle patch of his fur where his left eye was. He was the type to do as he was told and stay inside around night. "Yes. Elanor, have you overslept again?" Asked Sarah, the squirrel. Sarah was a red squirrel with a small obsession with keeping time in order. She even orginizes her nuts and berries for hibernation a week before the time and gets started on a new pile for the next hibernation as soon as she wakes. "Yes, I did oversleep a bit. If it wasnt for my tail feeling a bit itchy, I might havd never woken up." She said.

Elanor noticed Edward looking over to the other side of the river. "Its almost sun down, Elanor. Will you actually do it? Will you really stay until the nocturnals come out?" He asked. Elanor just smiled and looked out onto the river as the wind blew. "Suns going down" Sarah called to attention "Its time for me to go into my hole. You'd best go too Edward." She then climbed on to Elanors head and turned the top of her ear to face her. "Now listen" Sarah said "You'd better be careful. Remeber, nocturnals are all beasts. They'll kill you in an instant." She jumped off her head. "Remember!" She shouted as she scurried away. Edward then lets out a small chuckle "Elanor. Stay sharp." He said. He then left, himself. Elanor stood by the water, watching the sun shoot golden ripples of light along it. In this moment, Elanor began to think of why she was doing this in the first place.

As fast as the humming birds she watches in spring, she began poncing and eating every mouse in sight. When full of meat, Elanor began to feel tired. She stopped her feeding and looked to the darkening sky. With hazy eyes, she climbs herself in her burrough and falls asleep.
